Codes to access all courses ?

I know you can unlock them ..but game faqs has had codes in the past that you can type in to acess courses if you just want to play a course under stoke play mode...anyone try any of the past codes? Do they work ...anyone know of any that work thanks ...it seems all golfers are accessable at the start. Im really liking this game ...to see my review its page 8 of impressions thread - The Crow

Sad, but true. After you checkout at your local retailer for $59.99 you are not done paying. I think this amounts to thievery.

Some people don't wanna play 8000 hours to unlock the content of their game ... you know the one they bought and paid for?

8000 hours? I hate unlocking stuff, as well, but selling codes to unlock items that you unlock in the course of play is just idiotic, IMHO. Why play the game then?

Since the early DOS Links days I have never played golf games the way the developers decided I should. I fire up my 'puter golf and like a wide variety of courses at my disposal to play whenever I want. Not too hard to understand really, you can keep your "achievments" and all that other ridiculous practice nonsense.

Sadly the "wide variety" thing will never happen in console golf so I'll stick to Links 2003 on my PC and return the TW 07 I have sitting here still in the shrink wrap. I could live with 12 holes but I'd be a fool to spend even more money on courses down the pike. EA selling cheat codes and extras is flat out greed. They won't get my money now or in the future.

Greed? I guess it was okay when they sold theses same kinds of codes before XBL Marketplace by using 976 number, but now it is such a bad thing. You can have your postcard quality-lifeless Links 2003 Golf game. Installed it, played it, uninstalled it, sold it because while it is pretty to look at as if you were admiring a painting, it is just that, a lifeless painting with not animation nor life.

And just so you are up to speed, EA is not selling any additional courses this year. Go ahead and return the game. You wouldn't appreciate it anyway....

Yeah, they are just selling access to play the full game you already paid $60 for. Having to unlock all the new courses is pure BS, plain and simple.

1. They are offering a way for users who do not either have time to unlock courses and players to do so just like they did in the past. It is an OPTION that users who do NOT have time to spend on such things can take advantage of. It is not what I would do if I were producing TW 360, but after spending 12+ hours on the game and only getting my character to +/- 40%, I can see the value for some not wanting to invest that kind of time. I wish EA would spend more time offering gameplay items that ADDED to the experience and/or longevity of the game.

2. Agreed. But this is about the only way they can get users to play key parts of the game. I believe if they would simply give us a PGA TOUR Season mode starting with Q-School and some training lessons, then I would not mind unlocking courses as I played my way through the PGA TOUR Season.

Sounds like you get quite perturbed at anyone who has different opinions or preferences for games than you. Shall I keep on annoying you? This could be fun.

Okay, the following are not similar:

A.) Charging for content that used to be provided for free in games such as alternate jerseys.
B.) Charging for a passcode to get something you can unlock for free just how it was available in the past.

This is nowhere near as bad as what I'm hearing that Sony is doing with the Gran Turismo series on the PS3 either...

Take the time to play a few Tiger Challenges and you will have all of them. I know I have unlocked at least three courses in my first five or six tries.

This is the same way I am going about the game. My spitting image golfer has beaten the first Tiger Challenges of each ladder and unlocked Spyglass Hill and Firestone as well as items from other golfers. I'm going to continue to play this way until I've unlocked all I need to.
