STOPPING ATTRIBUTES?
How do I stop gaining attributes in TW 07 360. Every time I play a challenge my attributes go up. I am afraid my golfer will max out. Also what is a good % of attributes to start my PGA season with? I am a average player. Thanks for all responses. PEACE!!!!The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Tags: None -

100% or so is a good place to begin your PGA Season mode, especially if you are playing in TOUR Pro difficulty.PC / Xbox One X

Nothing you can do to stop it. Attributes are now based upon what you accomplish in Tiger Challenge and the Training Facility. I was scared to death of this at first, but now that I am at 100% it plays just great on TOUR Pro difficulty.

Re: STOPPING ATTRIBUTES?
If we are talking 360, career mode tournaments are the same whether you play them at 1 or 110 if we are talking winning or losing. If you shoot above your average in the first round and at or below your average in the next three you will most likely win. If you shoot much below your average in the first round and at your average for the next three, you will most likely lose. Scores in the first round more extreme either way will make the end result more extreme either way.
You also gain skill playing the tournaments, so if you are stuck in the tiger challenge you can always play a tournament and gain some ground.Comment

Re: STOPPING ATTRIBUTES?
I am finding that not to be the case while I am playing. While I realize the AI scoring is far from perfect, I have only seen what you describe once out of 16 tournaments so far. I do think the scoring may be too sensitive to a good or bad round, but I am pretty consistent in my scoring, so that may explain why I am not seeing the same thing. Playing TOUR Pro difficulty with a 100% character has yielded very believable and realistic scoring in PGA TOUR Season mode for me so for....
Its a problem because if you want to have a competative tournament you absolutely have to score your average +/- 2-3 strokes in the first round or you will win or lose by a large margain. If you average around par but have a fantastic first round and shoot a 62, you have absolutely zero chance to win the tournament if you cant duplicate the 62. So if you are having a fantastic first round that you know you cant repeat you either have to tank the round or accept the fact that you are going to lose the tournament. Every single time.Comment

Re: STOPPING ATTRIBUTES?
I have found that the tour difficulty level is pretty good for keeping my scores realistic. So a combination of that and first round house rules usually leads to a realistic 4 round score for the winner but since the AI is playing to my score I always seem to be in contention. It is more exciting always being within sight of the leaders even though it might not be all that realistic.Comment

Re: STOPPING ATTRIBUTES?
If you want to verify it, shoot 30 over in the first round of a tournament; make a throw away golfer if you dont want to mess with your stats; then take a look at the best rounds shot by the ai in the second round. The best rounds will instantly go from around 6 under in the first round to around 30 over in the second round. Every single time.

Re: STOPPING ATTRIBUTES?
Players Championship
1st round low wind normal conditions
1 - 4 under
5 - 3 under
I shoot 7 under
2nd round very high wind much tougher pin positions
(all scores for the round not cumulative)
2 - 9 under
4 - 8 under
10+ - 7 under
I shoot par.
Theres no other explaination for that. The AI plays to your score whatever it is. Regardless of skill level, wind, or conditions.Comment
