Tiger 07 PC Patch Information

Direct correspondence from EA:

The PC patch is in QA. Here is a list of things that will be fixed.

* Sidehill and uphill lies were not affecting the shot physics. - Fixed

* Missing fog and haze effects - Fixed

* Missing near fog animation - Fixed

* Courses from earlier releases and Course Architect courses had bad reflections and trees with gray halos. - Fixed - the reflections and fixed the gray halo problem for older courses and Course Architect courses.

* Antialiasing not working. Created a work-around to get antialiasing working. By turning off “ Bloom”, “Depth-Of-Field”, and “Lensflare” effect from the Options screen, the user can get antialiasing working again. The full fix for this issue will be in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008.

With the patch being in QA, this means it should be released for download any day. Please check at the EA Tiger 07 site for news of it's release.

So then I was hallucinating last night when this happened to me twice with two different opponents matching up two different ways playing two different game types? What happened to the old: I shoot, you shoot, I shoot, you shoot and we get to see each others shots WHEN they're happening? Why do you keep saying there's no issue? First I have heard of this. The issue you are referring to in that thread is a console-specific issue, not related to the PC. Sounds like you need to turn off Ready Play.

Oh we were talking apples and oranges then....sorry bout that. Ready play...hmmm. Didn't even know it was there. I'll check that, thx.

Turning off Ready Play worked like a charm! Thanks BB. Now, if they could just stick the putting grid in on Expert mode it would be a huge help. HTH are you supposed to read the putt without some type of grid? Crazy.

By using the information available to you. You look at the slope of the ball as it sits above the amiming pointer. You then hit the 4 key to get a view of the putt behind the hole. You can manipulate the camera in the game to get virtually any viewing angle for any putt you wish. Expert is wonderful because it makes you use your best guess as to what the terrain is between your ball and the cup. The game gives you about as much information as you would get playing Golf on a real course. The only thing you can't read in the game is the grain of the green.

Those are good tips for putting on expert.....those and listening to the announcers. The grid does seem like too much infomation, but the "reading" of the green via the 4 or 6 camera seems a little too slight of information. But overall thanks for all the help, including with loading the created courses. Was able to load Spyglass last night. The autoloader device is a snap. Now it's time to learn my club distances.

Actually one of the online glitches (though it may be offline too) appears to be some type of swing glitch, esp. on the drive. There are times when you attempt a full swing and it gives you a chip like motion, skulling the ball. There have even been a few times when you swing successfully (apologies to the wild and crazy brothers there!) and it is as if you never shot the ball.
