For the first time I'm sitting back on this one with just a wait and see attitude ... I've got all TW games, I ended up likeing them for a while but not one did I ever love. If they still have the camera behind the ball for every shot........then I'm defintely going to pass.

The tri-click coming back is an attempt to make this series play more realistic and it also reveals how crappolla the joystck swing machanics has been with this series.

Headgate made one of the best golf sims with PGA Championship Golf ... since they join EA the sim aspect and gameplay has gone downhill. Looks like golf but does'nt play like golf.

I haven't enjoyed a tiger game in years. The last golf game I played for an extended period of time was links on the regular xbox. Really only for two reasons: 1. Gameplay- there weren't any over done "features" it was straight up video golf. 2. online- you could have up to 4 people play AT THE SAME TIME! and I mean at the same time. Everyone hit at the same time, no waiting for people to line up their shot. You saw trails of the other players balls being hit as you hit your shot. It made the game go faster.

1. No, not at all. It is simply adding back a feature that console users have been asking for in an attempt to lure more users to buy the game.

2. I could not disagree more when you consider that TW06 and 07 in TrueSwing Expert mode was more difficult and challenging than PGA 2000 ever though about being....and I played all 3. No comparison.

Well sorry I don't find the true swing in expert mode challenging whatsoever I got everything pumped as hard as it can get except for putting and every other help option (zoom, wind direction etc)turned off ... and with PGA CHAMPIONSHIP 2000 maybe you used a mouse that was very user friendly. We used a roller ball very sensative and found ourselves at times shooting a plus 10. When was the last time you shot a plus 10 in the TW series ?

I still think the tri-click is being brought back ... yes, because there was alot of people who wants it back because the true-swing in TW is just to darn forgiving. At least with the tri-click (if they implemented right) it will be less forgiving, like old golf games use to be. Especially at the top of your swing if you went to far, say when you would go into the red the meter would come down faster and to hit the sweet spot was very challenging ... a line left or right of the sweet spot would sway the direction path of the ball in flight, the farther away from the sweet spot the farther the left or right. And I think thats why so many people have asked for it back. Just my opinion.

With the tri-click system (atleast in the old days) you can't stop in the middle of you swing like you can with TW true-swing and decide wether to raise or lower it a bit ... you make that swing once and thats it.

I'm laughing cuz I don't find the true swing in TW a wee bit challenging at all ... nice and smooth but way overly to forgiving atleast for me and the guys a play with.

Try TrueSwing with a Logitech G5 Laser mouse or one of the MS 1000-2000 dpi laser mice and come back here and tell me that TS in Expert difficulty is not challenging in TW 07....

When have you been able to use mice with the 360? This thread isn't talking about PC gaming. You said it yourself console people have been asking for the tri-click method to be brought back to the console. Maybe because they find true swing is to easy on consoles?

I was simply responding to someone who has his own theory as to why 3-click is returning to the console versions and this same person is the one who brought up PC versions claiming that PGA Championship Golf had the more challenging version of TrueSwing.

I know many who do NOT find the current analog swing on TW07 to be too easy on Pro TOUR difficulty. I know I damn sure don't....

On Links you could completely get the feel down for 1/2, 3/4, whatever percentage of a swing, but on TW it's pretty tough to get any sort of feel when you're taking a bit off your swing. I'd personally rather they add the necessary touch to the analog stick before adding clicks.

2. Agreed. However, I have managed to figure out how to get 1/2 and 3/4 shots with the current analog stick, but I agree Links 2004 did a much better job capturing this.

But the swing stick putting at least on the PC version.....uggh. Couldn't putt anything over 40 ft and reach the hole unless it was on a hill.....maybe.

I think I'm just a bit frustrated because Tiger is really fun and just that little bit away from being the good things from Links and all the good things Tiger all ready does combined.
