Tiger 08 TOUR PRO MODE question

Anyone know if EA changed anything for the way TOUR PRO MODE plays? This is the only way I play the game (love it this way) - just wondering if anything has changed specific to this mode?

From what I read, the fade/draw swing feature is easier.

This speaks volumes to me; it's coming from Big Bertha (Divotmaker) on the XBox.com forum, on his experience with the game during TW 08 Community Day yesterday in Orlando:

"TOUR Pro kicked mine and Oblong's rear end's. Based on what we played, you will no longer be assured of hitting a straight shot in ANY mode (did not play EASY, but Balanced was much tougher than TOUR Pro from 07).

You are going to LOVE what they have done with the analog swing dynamics as it is tied to the animation and tempo is even more critical this year. You will be able to hit partial shots with BOTH swings and it is no longer a crapshoot."

I think these previews we've read up until now were played under "Easy" mode. I'm delighted to hear this news from Big Bertha!

I was on the xbox forum a lot when 07 came out and those 2 folks seem to know what a golf game should feel like when playing. THis makes me VERY happy knowing that this game is going to raise the difficulty level. I said it last year and I will say it again. If they made there putting system like Links with no specific set distance (of course keep out the blue line) and take into account lies better this game would take on a whole different feel. Least they are making improvements.

Yes, these two know what they're talking about. I don't need any further information to convince me that I'm making a wise purchase next week. Another thing I forgot to mention is that they say it's possible to pull and push putts this year... that's fantastic! It's long overdue.

Oh, and Oblong says that when you're attempting a severe hook or slice, and you're tracking is off - you pay a big penalty in the shot result. I'm stoked!!

This is good news. Didn't realize the game was coming out next week. Hopefully Big Bertha comes back and gives us a report.

As soon as I catch my breath...just got home today and I will be out of town all day tomorrow, but I will have my copy of the 360 retail version tomorrow and will be playing the hell out of it over the weekend....stay tuned.

Yea, it seems like there has been relatively little news about this game. That which we have seen has been about the trick shot junk.
