TW 2008 PC
Well from everything I'm reading I couldn't be more dissapointed that I won't pick up this years vesion of TW. I've bought every version of TW up till now and every Headgate golf game also. With the lack of a course utilities and the improvements made to the 360 version, what's the point? When EA hired Headgate for their PC game, I said that would eventually be a bad thing(not for the guys at Headgate because I'm sure EA pays them well and they deserve it). I love the graphics for the TW series but to me that's the only improvement made over the Headgate PGA series. First the career editor was left out and now the ability to add user made courses. I guess the PC game is just a dying breed.Tags: None -

Re: TW 2008 PC
Headgate is no longer the PC developer for TW. Tiburon is. I am going to contact the PC producer of TW08 this week and see what can be done about the Course Utilities program being added. There is a rumor running around that custom courses can be added with a registry hack, but I would not recommend that as a safe way to add courses to the game.Comment

Re: TW 2008 PC
I'm playing TW 08 for the PC and I must say i'm not feeling it.Kinda disappointing because I skipped TW 07 and got this one instead. Oh well based on everyones recommendations i'll be picking up the 360 version. It sounds like that's the one to own.

Re: TW 2008 PC
I like the "confidence" feature. It seems when you are on a roll it's easier to make shots but on the flip side if you start screwing up it's much harder to work your way out of it. I was -3 going into the back 9 at Sawgrass and that's when my game fell apart. I wound up +3 for the match. Good stuff.Comment

Re: TW 2008 PC
I'm just curious here Rodster, what is it you don't like about it? I love this years version. I played last year on the PC and PS3 and love 08 on the PC more than both. It's actually a challenge for me for whatever reason and I'm loving that.
On another note, is anyone finding the putting to be VERY hard to gauge? It seems like I either putt way too soft and not even making it half way, or way too hard and end up flinging the ball 30 feet past the hole.Comment

Re: TW 2008 PC
While TW2008 is pretty good for the PC, I can't help but notice how much more features the 360/PS3 version has than the PC. I especially like the GameFace feature that's ONLY available on the consoles for some reason. They could have at least made the graphics for the PC more next-gen but that didn't happen.
Still a fun game though but I'm considering getting the 360 version.Comment
