One ball is really a terrible a mini-game

i HATE trying to figure out this game... 'how do i tank this shot to make my opponent mess up?' LAME. it has zero to do with real golf and shouldn't be a requirement in the tiger challenge events.

    Who's with me?!

Kinda agree with you. I don't really care for it either. It forces you to just play tp get the shot inside the circle until you get close enough to sink the putt, but hope your AI opponent misses....

I am actually enjoying one ball because of the strategy element. Bingo Bango Bongo I am not quite sold on yet.

In real golf bingo bango bongo is great for a group of people play infrequently. For better players it's kind of silly though.

True. We have never called it bingo bango bongo, but first on, closest, and score are all parts of the 5 million different side bets we include to make sure it takes 4 hours in the club house to figure out that we all finished close to even and no one owes anyone anything!

B-B-B is great with other people but vs the CPU it is horrible... virtually every hole is the same... If you get on first, the CPU parks it 2 inches from the cup... If the cpu gets on first it is on the edge of the green all but assuring you get closest..

I love one ball. My wife and I play it a lot because she can actually be competitive in it. I always have to recover from her bad shots and she ends up getting the easy put to win the hole, lot fun for us.

I don't get Bingo Bango Bongo. It's just whoever putts the ball in the hole first wins, which is Bongo I guess. What's the point of having Bingo and Bango? I thought that if you win Bingo and Bango, you win the hole because you won 2 of the 3 things. I just don't get it.

When I used to play it with my friends we could do cumulative points for the whole round.

Whoever lands their ball on the green first gets the first point, whoever landed their ball closest to the pin with their first landing on the green gets the second point, whoever has the lowest shot total for the hole gets the last point...

ex. Par 5 hole, player 1 lands on the green with their 2nd shot and lands 15 feet from the cup... Player 2 landed on the green on their 3rd shot but landed 10 feet from the cup. Player 1 closed the hole with a birdie... Player 1 won 2 points... first onto the green & lowest shot total. Player 2 won a point for being closest...end of round, player 1 is up 1

Not a big fan of one ball, but at times I kinda don't mind it either ... To make a easy win, chip on to the green to make the cpu players go for a 30 to 45 ft putt ... they miss all the time and leave you with anything from a 12 to 1 ft putt.

That was with 07 original xbox ... still not sure if I'm willing to upgrade. Some of the impressions of 08 really turn me on, like the swing mechanics are much more realistic, you actually miss fairways! wow finally, but some of the bugs and quirks plus they still use the ball cam for human players and playing tournaments by yourself with out being able to be matched with a cpu player does'nt turn me on. So I think I'll wait and see for 09

These games would be better if the AI didn't have such wild swings. Bingo-Bongo is just silly becuase the AI always seems to get closes than you unless you hit it within 2 inches.

                      One-ball is okay.
