TW 08 Questions, please help.
Well Im considering getting this game after I said I wouldnt. First, I didnt play the 07 version much, just didnt get into it. One thing was I had so much trouble putting. For 08, is the putting grid back (it really helps me to putt). Secondly, what are your top 5 reasons that 08 is better than 07. Keep in mine that IM not really into playing online much. Thanks, I appreciate your responses.Tags: None -
Re: TW 08 Questions, please help.
Grid is there.
1)Graphic improvement especially if you are going to '08 without playing '07.
2)Gamernet let's you get some of the positives of playing online without playing with other people online. I am not much for online either but Gamernet has ended up being one of my favorite features since you are playing against human unpredictability without having to actually bother with pesky humans.
3)Draw/Fade Slider. Ton's better than trying to shape a shot with the swing stick.
4)Nice course variety.
5)It's a solid golf game. With patches it will get a lot of play.
Another consideration; do you have a memory card? If so then the freezes will give you no problem because you have a workaround. If not, the Tiger Challenge could give you some freeze issues until the patch hits. -

Thanks man, makes me want the game now. Unfortunately I do not have a memory card, only the hard drive, any word when the patch will hit? The gamernet sounds interesting, ill look more into it. How developed must your player be to compete with gamernet and in tour mode?Comment

Re: TW 08 Questions, please help.
Mine was developed through artificial means, digital steroids that cost me 200 points and put me to 110 in every category...that helps alot of course.
Seriously though you should have your character up to the pro level at least i'd say. Always remember though you can just set it to easy and that would get you comfortable until you got use to the new swing stick which is much more touchy...which is good.
I myself have been loving the 3 click method and found that until I bought my "max player" it was the easiest way for me to get through events and upgrade my skills faster.Comment
