TW 08 PC info?

Not sure what exactly you are looking for, but I installed the game the day i got it, played it for about 15 minutes and have not played it since....worst TW PC version I have ever played. Sorry I can't be more help.....

Ehhh...nothing in particular. Just impressions. I just didn't want to confuse the 360'ers and the PC'ers. What are the downgrades from 07 in your opinion?

Too many to list really...a continuation of the slide that 07 took. Framerates are worse than 07 at the same resolution (even with a new video card that is 2X as powerful as the previous one), no Course Utilities for importing user courses, no Course Architect for the second consecutive year, and the GUI is a straight port from the Wii/PS2 versions and still in 800x600. Anything else?

Well, since 07 was the first version I bought since 99, that's quite enough to convince me that it's just another typical EA beta release. Screw 'em.

Seriously, this is a depressing thread. The Tiger games on the PC used to be one of the best computer games out there. The course designed made them though, just like the Jack Nicklaus series.

I just don't get that either. How could a game with the potential of TW go bacwards? I could understand it maybe staying about the same, but backwards? Especially given the huge step forward they took with the 360 version.

Pretty simple, EA Sports as a whole just does not care about the PC versions of their games. Look at ALL of them across the board:

Madden
NBA
NHL
FIFA
Tiger

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is a half-assed, uninspired, feature-lacking joke of a game. Only this year did 2 of these games actually start putting in wide screen resolutions. And the list goes on and on.

EA Sports doesn't want people buying PC games, they want them to buy console games.

I can understand that from a money stan point. Less profit for EA so they invest less in the development. What I have a hard time figuring out is why take options away? CA, CU, Career/season editor, etc.. I can't imagine there's much money spent in developing options that are already there in the first place!
