2nd Title Update (patch) for TW08 360 is now available

Below is a brief list of fixes:

- Adjusted the amount of mis-hit error in Tour Pro

- Fixed the Gamernet freeze by not allowing users to post corrupted clips, nor download them. You will get an error message now in both cases.

- Gamernet will now default to the most recent clips instead of the ones that are worth most points. This is to add variety when picking clips to play.

- Fixed the Fed Ex Cup scoring bug

- Fixed other possible freeze conditions

I got in 9 holes with this today. I really like what they've done with the tracking errors in Tour Pro, at least where the Microsoft wireless controller is involved. I feel like I can now play this game again in Tour pro without embarrassing myself with the MS controller. It feels sooooo much better than the Joytech that I had used for a while. I won't be able to play the game proper for at least a few days yet, but I'm looking forward to getting a new lease on my outlook with TW 08!

Is the feel better? I'll try this later today (watching football right now), but the controller was so inconsistant, sometimes I'd seemingly do the same thing and yet get drastically different results

I played 9 and while it's been a while since I last played, the swing is still way too unforgiving. I'd do the exact same type of motion and one time it'd be perfect the next I'd have a 3 arrow slice to OOB. Maybe it is better and I just suck, but I'm still not digging the control feel.

I like hard controls as long as it's fair, and TW has never had "feel" with their analog swing, so hard and fair is too much to ask for. This just makes me mad when every other hole I don't change my swing at all and I hit it out of bounds. I don't want to always hit fairways, but real pros aren't shooting 120 every round.

Maybe those of you who are better can say for sure, but this game still has the thing that frustrated me the weeks after I got it. I don't mind being punished for a bad swing, but at least be consistent with what is a bad swing. As it is now I cannot learn and get better. That's what I want, something I can improve at. I don't feel I can improve at this. I don't know the difference between a good swing and a bad one.

I know I can play lower levels and it'll be easier, but I enjoy all the other things turned off...I want Tour Pro mode that's actually playable, not the unfair one it is now.

LOL. I don't recall ever freezing in TW outside of the known Tiger Challenge issue and I froze tonight post-patch changing the difficulty level.

It seems like Tour Pro is too easy now. This is coming from someone that usually played on Hard pre-patch. Tour Pro seems significantly easier than the old "Hard" level.

This second patch turned out to be a great fit for me. I feel gratified to break 70, yet I can still slip to high 70's when I'm off my game. I still hit a tee shot OB once in a while, but at least now I can feel why it happened. The game feels more complete to me now, but it's still not where it could be in terms of design, IMO. It sounds like this game could almost use a higher level of difficulty. Leebo is one of at least a half dozen players who find the game almost too easy after the patch.
