    Back Issue

Well school golf just started up a week or so ago so I've been playing 5+ holes a day and played 18 on sunday followed by 9 on monday. Today I woke up and couldn't even bend my back. I iced it all mourning didn't go out on the course today.

I was wondering if the back problem could possibly be from starting to play so much after not playing really at all in the winter. If it is do you know any good ways to strengthen the back or work-outs that are good for golf?

Stretching is really more important then strengthening your back. I would say do at 15 minutes of stretching, and make sure to warm up with some easy practice swings before playing. I'm 40 now, and if I do anything without without stretching, (get your minds out of the gutter), I pay for later.
