Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 - First Info and Media
Check it out guys...to me the screens look very much like TW 08 graphic wide (I know that it is pretty early to judge them). I hope that next time we hear about some new and more exciting features.

Check it out guys...It seems that the FedEX cup is included in the game this time around, although the screens look very much like TW 08 (I know that it is pretty early to judge them). I hope that next time we hear about some new and more exciting features.

"Online play has also been enhanced with Simultaneous Play. This all-new online engine gives up to four players the ability to play each hole at the same time, allowing players to get in a rhythm, swing when they are ready and make one round of golf even faster and more competitive than ever before possible."
I liked the faster pace of play that simultaneous play affords. It worked great for me in PGA Championship Golf 2000, Jack Nicklaus Golf 6, and most recently, U-Tour Golf (at Skillground.com). I'm curious to see how this works. Will you see virtual instant replays of your opponents shots, ala Jack 6 and U-Tour, or will it be the more chaotic, everyone in action on the screen at the same time, ala PGA 2000 and Hot Shots Golf 5 on the PS3?
I don't know what's happened to me, but I've all but completely fallen off the Tiger Woods 08 map. I had about a three week span where I couldn't play due to home renovations, and I was never able to get back into it. The lack of momentum/inertia in the interface makes it feel flat compared to Links 2004's interface. I now play Links 2004 on the 360, and U-Tour on the PC. I picked up Hot Shots Golf Fore out of curiosity for the PS2, after hearing all of the fanfare that Hot Shots Golf 5 was getting on the PS3. It was fun for a while... love the presentation in terms of camerawork, but the 3-click interface and anime characters put it out of touch.Duke Football? Re: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 - First Info and Media
Just checked the extended preview video (btw, Steve has linked the OS Press Preview in the thread below this one) and answered my question about the simultaneous play. It looks like it will use the shot tracer arrows to show what's happening with your opponent's shots, ala Links 2004 on the XBox. I'm disappointed to see that because I think what U-Tour Golf and Jack Nicklaus 6 does with the virtual instant replays is much more immersive and personal.
Another positive note I got from the video was that the ball cam wasn't as dominant. I hate to admit this, but Hot Shots Golf Fore on the PS2 kills Tiger Woods 06-08 on the 360 in terms of camera production.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Someone has mentioned this before but there should be a real tour mode that starts you at q-school and you move up from there. You shouldnt be able to jump right in on your first year of "tour" mode and are already qualified to play EVERY EVENT including majors. You should have to earn them. I will stick with my hot shots golf for the PS3 for my fix.STEAM PROFILE: STEAM_0:1:39676753Comment
