Yeah I think that Tiger for the Wii deserves it's own impressions thread. It's really a different game from the other 2 consoles.

I'm gonna pick up the Wii version this weekend.

Hell, if I skip one round of playing golf with my buddies, it pays for the game which will bring u some good clean fun.

I rented '08 and liked it, so I've been waiting for this true 1-1 swing to really improve the game.

I am really think of picking this up. Online is about the selling point for me.

Does anyone know if the power and mid shot spin can be turned off during online matches?

I just picked up the Wii version (based on the IGN review) and a copy for the 360. I will give it a shot this weekend.

I still cant make up my mind wether I should get the Wii Version or 360.

I do like games with good graphics and stuff, but the Wii looks like fun, real fun.

Anyone can recommend which version to get?

Got the Wii Verison on Friday, was thinking as well.

Its amazing, I think! Good buy and money well spent.

The putting is not the best, but overall a great game, and swings are really nearly 1:1!

I have both the 360 and Wii versions and,IMO, the Wii's version stinks. VERY inconsistent. Just try and swing your club within a 10% power range 3 times in a row and you'll see what I mean. It is basically just pot luck when you take your shot.

I played about 50 holes before throwing in the towel. There were times I was feeling like I had begun to dial in the control but no sooner than this thought entered my brain did it quickly disappear.

Frustrating and very disappointing IMO. I am hoping next years version uses the new Motion Plus device and we get a TRUE 1:1 swing with a way to also "average" out your swing (to your liking) so you can feel like your in control of the power when you take your shot.

Anyone else feel let down with the Wii's version of TW09? I am so surprised so many folks seem to like it. SHOCKED actually.

Back to the 360 version for me. I will give it one more chance later tonight but if something magical doesn't happen then back it goes. Maybe towards Pure!

Trying to weave through the one impressions thread for Wii feedback is making my eyes bleed.

I though TW08 was a great game on the Wii, so this should only be better. Bought it the day it came out but haven't opened it yet because I've been extremely busy. Can't wait to get into it.

TW08 sold the best on the Wii . .. I think that TW09 is probably going to surpass TW08's sales on the promise of the online mode, alone.

Pretty sure that is not the case. My understanding is that it sold more on the 360. Got any links that back up your assertion?

I think he means that Tiger 08 outsold most other Wii games. I doubt more than Mario but I am sure it is up there in top sales on the Wii.

It is mentioned in the Wii IGN review that the TW08 Wii version sold more than all other versions, but according to this link at VGchartz the 360 version of TW08 is just ahead of the Wii version 670,000 to 640,000 (all other versions left WAAAY behind in the dust).

Indeed, TW07 sold better on the 360 than the Wii by a wider margin (910,000 to 790,000). Again, all other versions not even close.

So I guess I was wrong about TW08 on Wii outselling the 360 version (unless these numbers are incorrect), but it's still impressive at how close the numbers are. Also notable is that sales dropped from TW07 to TW08 for both consoles (I personally skipped TW07 on the Wii and picked up TW08). One caveat is that the Wii versions were released a mere five months apart from each other in 2007.

Sale numbers are worldwide, and I didn't do the math as to who sold more in the US.

Putting is a pain in the azz, I found the best way to putt is double the putter distance and go halfway on your swing, if I have a 5 foot putt I use the 10 foot putter, but even that is touch and go. Any of you guys have putting suggestions?
