TW 09 "Real World" Daily Tournament idea

I'd like to float an idea I have about an alternative to the cheese infestible Tour Pro Mode Thursday event on XBox Live. I played a 9 hole round at Wentworth last night, with fast greens, average fairways, heavy rough (I think?), and "windy" conditions. I recorded the round as a GamerNet 9 Hole Challenge.

Here's my idea that stems from that. I was thinking it could be used to launch a daily tournament among Tour Pro mode minded players, who prefer tougher conditions and setups. Those who play the challenge could come back here and report their scores in this thread, whether they beat the challenge or not. I think those of us who gather here and cherish Tour Pro mode play could be trusted to be honest with our score reporting.

I did this for a while last year whenever a friend would post a 9 or 18 hole challenge. I would search by "Friends", find the 9 and 18 hole challenges they'd played, and then join the match without looking at the win conditions/final score of the player. It takes a lot of discipline to avoid looking at the final score on the scorecard screen between holes, but it could be done. That way the mystery was always there as to how the player finished and where I stood in the match.

Anyway, the name of the 9 hole challenge I posted today under Tour Pro mode difficulty is called "Cheese Free Real World 9". My Gamertag is "J Cauthen".

I'll post the leaderboard below... just add your name and score to it at your liesure:

I looked for this last night (9/22) in the Gamernet options and didn't see it; wanted to play it and post my score. Was it there?

Sorry Mex, I didn't see much interest in this idea here and I forgot to check back. I did post it and it sort of took off at XBox.com's forum. It got posted as "Cheese Free Real World 9". You can still play it and post your score in the appropriate forum there. We've got 8 or 9 in it now. I posted a "Real World Tournament 2" 18 hole round last night that launched the second event. I would ask that the scores be posted at XBox.com's Tiger Woods 09 forum, in the thread labled as such. It's hard enough perusing one forum for scores. I'm keeping a "leaderboard" within the thread.

I wasn't able to respond on Xbox.com for some reason, so, here's my score to post -

        74, +3

Man, the conditions you set were brutal. I did not have any birdies; 15 pars and 3 bogey's (and I had to make a lot of 6-10 ft putts for par). My guy's attributes are

        Power 8.5
        Accuracy 9.9
        Short Game 7.8
        Putting 8.5

I can't believe someone shot 62 with the conditions you set. Wow.

Cool! I'll post it and glad to have you aboard! See my post over there now about a powercap limit for the next Real World tournament and let me know what you think about going to that.
