Precision Putting

I'm sure I'll figure it out when I start playing it but I'm confused at how it works. When I line up a putt and move my arrow around on the green after determining slope speed etc, all I have to do is if the line is correct, is swing my putter back until it reaches the yellow box on the meter? Kind of seems that putting is gonna be too easy? All I have to worry about is finding the right path and the distance would be taken care of??

That's why they'll have an option to turn off the meter. Voila, problem solved and it won't be easy then.

yep

i'll use the meter for about two holes just to get the feel and then turn it off..... I'm assuming at that point it will be more or less like Links 2004 putting

We can only hope...god what I would give for a realistic golfing sim with the graphics these days

I only play on tour mode. Do you think that the meter will be shut off to play tour mode online or at least if I setup a game, I can have as an option for all players?

With this meter, Im not sure how this game can get any easier?

During my visit to Tiburon for TW Community Day, I asked EA to give users the ability to activate or deactivate the meter. This has been implemented into the game. Not sure yet if this is part of the setup for online games yet....

And quite honestly, even WITH the meter, putting was anything BUT easy in the beta build we were playing. Only had about 36 holes with the game, but putting was much more difficult than 09 in my experience with it....
