ActionPC Golf - FREE for limited time

I know most of the audience in this forum is likely more interested in games like PGA 2K and EA as they add robust graphics, but if you have been ever interested in a golf game that more focuses on strategy and history, you might want to give ActionPC golf a chance, especially for a limited time, it is FREE. It won't win any awards for graphics as that is not its focus, but it does use top-down course images of holes so certainly has some. It's not a 3D game like the others, the focus is giving a reasonable tournament experience playing using real golfers and courses. Beyond what you can actually purchase for courses, the community has made 100's of courses which are FREE and just as good as the ones you can buy. Might be worth checking our while it is FREE, who knows might end up interesting some folks.

Thanks for the heads up! I've heard of this game before, but never played it. I downloaded it, as well as a bunch of the community-made courses, and am enjoying playing/simming the 2020-21 season.

Just saw on the game dev's Twitter account that the golf game will only be available for free until Wednesday, August 20.

Yep, good game of golf, if you enjoy these types.
