We are a small group who are largely interested in sim type play and, therefore, have set up particular conditions in an attempt to re-create such. We don't use 2K's society system, primarily. We do both casual/friendly matches, mainly to keep it light-hearted and for the comradery, and have recently embarked on more formal head-to-head competition format with our own unique scoring system, intermixing random courses, conditions and match types. We will probably keep this small / tight knit as we move forward.
Our play conditions are as follows:
Classic Golf Association:
Player:
>80 OVR Max (attribute points distributed as you want)
>The use of a controller aka game pad for "swing stick" is mandatory
>All prospective members will be "Honorary" for a minimum period of 2 weeks (allowing all members to get to know and play golf with the prospective member) thereafter to be voted upon for full CGA membership
Shot Skills:
>As you desire
>The use of shot skills earned by any previous player build (Achetype) is strictly prohibited as this would violate the spirit of 80 OVR
Performance Fittings:
>For use on Putters only; Max limit = +9
Game Play:
>Master Difficulty
>No swing bias except when attempting to "draw or fade" the ball
>Visual aides off except "green grid"
>Only putting is permitted when on a green (including line-of-sight obstructions)
