E3 Tiger Woods Questions

Next week I will be at E3, and Tiger Woods will be on display.

So if you have questions about this game, post them in this thread. Obviously try to keep things in perspective about what to expect, but I'll try my best to get some questions answered.

In addition, as I wrote in my blog entry last week, while I probably won't get a majority of the questions answered at E3, there will be opportunities post-E3 to hunt down answers to your questions.

1.) Will there be separate lobbies for Tour Pro and Amateur (I believe that's what they're now calling what we formerly knew as "Balanced") difficulty in online multiplayer?

2.) What clues do you get as to the performance of the AI player(s) who are supposedly grouped with your player in offline season mode tournament play? I ask this because Senior Designer, Mike DeVault said in one of his blogs: "The player will be playing at the same time as the AI golfer they get paired up with based on their position on the leaderboards." I know they don't have the animations of most of the golfers on the tour, so I'd like to know how the AI player's play will be conveyed. I have a hunch that the only clue you'll get is to look at that player's score (and you''ll probably have to figure out who you're playing with after the first hole when you look at the leaderboard and see who else's score is through 1 hole of play).

3.) When setting up multiplayer games online, is there an option to force the Precision Putting meter "OFF"?

4.) Can you turn off the following: Comet trails, hole fly-bys/previews, AI and human player pre-shot animations and post shot reactions?

5.) Are there any camera configuration options available to the user in the menu?

6.) Can you concede a hole in match play?

Why can't we play any and all of the courses we paid for right out of the box? That will sit well with them. I seriously just want to know the logic involved in this decision.

Same here....still have not gotten an answer to this one...even though it doesn't bother me in the least, I know it bothers some.

If the past games are any indication, I bet you'll be able to play all the courses right out of the box during online play.

1)Considering that the online tournaments are the main new feature they are pushing this year: (A lot of "Do they realize" questions to see if they have any understanding of the current online tournament/competitive situation and why their canned response of "we will listen to the gamers and make it harder using arcade conditions if the scores are too low" doesn't actually address the problems.)

a)What exactly do they plan on doing when people are shooting in the 40s just like every other year?

b)Is their plan really to just go full arcade and up the wind to gale force, lower the club distances out of realistic range, and speed up the greens to ridiculous levels?

c)Do they realize going arcade with all of the tricks is the last thing a sim golfer wants and ruins their stated idea behind playing with the pros just to artificially inflate scores?

d)Do they realize using just course conditions to level the playing field affects every one? It doesn't help the competitive situation to increase the 40's to 50's while increasing the 60's to 70's by going full arcade(wind, distance, green speed).

e)Do they realize that playing with the arcade conditions(gale force winds, 220 yard drives, and lightening fast greens) ever single time will sour the online game for most users just as much as competing with the same players shooting 40's in every online tournament?

f)Do they realize that once the average player sours on online play and goes back to offline play or finding their own group of sim golfers to play with that the online experience will be exactly like years past and all of their improvements to online will be for nothing?

1. Will they ever have more than just 4 pin locations? Maybe have 4 of each difficulty?

2. Can simultaneous play be turned off for quick 3 hole matches?

3. Can the vapor trail be turned off?

4. Who sets the price for DLC for new courses? Will it be reasonable this year?

I really doubt there will be. They would of said something by now or at least had info on their website.

They have stated that one is coming and I have played an early version of it. They have not mentioned it on their website because they aren't ready to announce it....
