-35 on tour pro? Wow, yesterday when I played the highest was -10, that's just crazy. I don't even know how that's possible.

I kind of wish they just capped everybody to level the playing field. I also wish there was a way to filter your friends scores because I don't care about the rest.

Actually, I was playing a weekly tourney and the guy's score was -31 after 2 rounds on Oakmont. Very annoying.

I want to play tournaments with casual, older guys who play for fun ... not world domination. That's just me.

100% agree. Two things :

1. I hope single try tourneys alleviate this non-sense.
2. If they don't then it's just not for me.

We should just set up a nice casual league Dave...we did it with Hot Shots and it worked great. Dave send me a pm if you want to do this. I have like 5 or 6 guys who are interested...but we have not put it together. I was thinking of just playing 2 rounds 1 night a week and just keep track of our scores over the course of like 15 tourneys.

Some areas for improvement:

A) Cap all players skill level for all online tourneys in tour pro mode
B) If a player opts to use a licenced pro, same deal
C) In-game saves
D) Create some sort of custom play-by-play where the announcers stop those stupid "whoa cowboy" type comments. I'm not a damn 12-year-old. Play-by-play should be like it is in the pros. Leave the childish comments for amateur play.
E) Quit locking crap
F) Only one shot at a tourney ... none of this five hundreds tries until you get a round you like. Once a player takes one shot in a tourney, that's it. If they have to quit, so be it.
G) I like the real weather thing to a certain extent, but when is the last time you saw golf played in pouring rain?
H) It's too easy to hit drives accurately. Day one and I'm already setting course records for fairways hit in tour pro mode. Thankfully, putting and approach shots are harder, making the game more balanced.

I have more. Just can't think of them at the moment.

I'd be interested in this. I still haven't broken par on Tour Pro so I won't be much of a threat, but it would be fun to have a little OS group to compete against.

I preordered this bad boy, but from the demo and everyone on here, their early impressions on the demo were bad. So I was like, nice, saved myself some money. Not quite, now I am reading all of these positive reviews and I love golf, and I need my fix. I am pretty sure, unless I change my mind in Gamestop, I will be playing this game tonight, thanks to you all. The only thing I am hung up on is Baa's opinion on this game, other than that, it seems like people are genuinely having fun and enjoying it.

Neither have I. Not even close. I hit a +6 using Rocco Mediate in a single-round stroke play (I forget which course).

The game is a real challenge this year, if you're not one of those 15-year-old idiot savants.

The best I have done with my created player is +3 and still missed the cut.....so don't worry.

blue - but how much of that has to do with low attributes? Once your attributes and skills increase do you think you will shooting in the 60's or in the 50's?

Well Mike.....I have created guy's stats as follows

1 power. 8.3
2 short game 8.1
3. putting 9.3
4 Accuracy 8.6

So I guess I suck compared to a lot of people on this board. I just find it funny that friends I play with have not broke par either. We play Black tee's , Greens Very fast, Pin extreme placement, Fairway very fast, on pro diff.

The nice thing about attributes Mike, is that they can go up or down depending on your level of play on the course.

LOL...you sound about at the same level as Kodiak and myself.....We are playing tonight Pappy if you want to jump in. It will be about 10:45 est . I am Denver and he is in St Louis, thats why its later in the evening.

cool - thanks for the insight. I know you were saying in jest, but I wasn't suggesting you suck, just curious if things would get a lot easier if your attributes were low since the game just came out yesterday. That is the typical issue I've had in the past . . . close to par or a little over par until I start to build my attributes and then 60's . . . and then 50's . . . and then 40's . . . and then complete boredom and the game being traded in 4 weeks later.

Your post definitely gives good insight on the difficulty.
