    putting

I haven't played tiger woods in years but I bought the game this year for ps3 and the putting is incredibly hard. How can I master putting? I don't get the whole grid they have on the green or anything. What happened to the putting where the caddy would tell you where to place your pointer in order to make the putt?

Practice, of course. The putting is one of the better aspects of the gameplay. It's pretty intuitive. The correlation between the distance/break, and the amount of power the user has to use, is fairly accurate and quite well done. And it becomes second nature after a short time. Maybe leave the putting meter/assist on until you get used to it.

The caddy thing was cheap IMO BUT I can understand it for those wanting to use it until they get better.

I love the putting this year. Really challenging but pretty darn accurate. Just practice man. As far as the grid: The little lines that are moving are showing which way the green is "tilted". So if they are moving right the ball will roll right.

So if horizontal lines are moving to the right and the vertical lines are moving away from you then you are putting downhill with a break to the right.

Putting is really tough but I am loving it. My created golfer is the worst Golfer/Putter in TW history. I had to blame someone
