Tips for creating a golfer (wii) ?

Anyone care to offer any tips on starting up my own golfer (attributes, etc)?

Curious to what others are putting in their attribute slots/percentages.

You have to earn your attributes. They go up or down depending on how you're playing.

When you create a character, you can put so many points right off the bat in certain skills (ie power, putt, etc)....

I'm sorry, didn't read Wii in the title.

I could use some tips too...I never know how the best way to start in the career mode. Do you just evenly distribute them?

After putting in all the default skills you're allowed then go into club tuner and max out the power on your driver, irons, and wedges. This will add about 30 yards to each club and make it easier to be competitive in career mode. Your driver will average 290 yards after the adjustment. There is supposed to be a loss of accuracy by maxing out the power but I haven't noticed a difference. I also maxed out my spin because I couldn't spin it at all in the default level. I have no reason to use anymore skill points after this as I'm competitive with this set up. My power is at 40% now, if I get it to 100% I'll be hitting 400 yard drives which is not very realistic.

What difficulty settings are you playing on?

The loss in accuracy is real enough - the margin for error between a nice draw/fade and a severe hook/slice is only a few degrees when you reduce accuracy enough.

And doesn't maximizing spin promote roll/release? Or is that what you wanted just for driver? I reduced spin to the lowest on my wedges for maximum backspin, I think I did the same for my irons though it might be at 25%.

I guess I'm playing this too much because I never hook\slice and this is on advanced. I can't shoot it straight every time but I can hit the fairway 60 to 70% of the time which is what pro golfers usually average. I'm just talking about maximizing spin just for irons and it still doesn't do much of a backspin most times but at least it's easier from letting it roll off the green.

Using my CAP(default skills) or Tiger (maxed skils) in practice I don't find any difference in my accuracy. I used both playing Doral and I shot 70 with the CAP and 69 with Tiger.
