Aside from the swing system and the 27 courses, are there any other major differences between the Wii and 360 versions?

Looking for Input: TW for Wii or 360?
I have a 360 and a Wii. The Wii's actually for the kids, but I play it from time to time. Is it worth getting the Wii version and fighting with the kids for time on it, or should I stick with the 360 version?

Unless you care so much about graphics that you can settle for 9 fewer courses and vastly inferior controls, the Wii version is a no-brainer. That said, you will probably get so addicted that you will be fighting with your kids for it, so if that's a serious problem, you might go 360 just to avoid it.
Honestly, if I didn't have a Wii already, I would absolutely consider it worth the money to buy the system for this game alone. -

I've got both and I've played both extensively. Here's my take on them:
The swing mechanics of the Wii version will totally immerse you into the game. It's truly fun to play and will probably be like nothing you've ever experienced before. Where the Wii version falls short is the career mode. There's just not enough depth there to keep you interested. Another short coming is that the AI seems to adapt to how your playing so you'll always have close matches or tournaments. These two factors to me have made me play less and less of the Wii. If I had a human player to play against everyday then it would be much more fun. The online tournaments aren't even fun b/c there are people out there shooting such ridiculous scores that most people can't be competitive.
The 360 version is basically the same as all the prior years with a few tweaks and upgrades but what it DOES give you is a much deeper and engaging career mode. The lasting appeal of this version is what keeps me playing it.Comment

Re: Looking for Input: TW for Wii or 360?
I had the Wii version and traded it in for the PS3 version. The Wii version was superior, hands down, BUT I got tired of swinging the Wii-mote. I usually play 9-18 real holes three or four times a week and standing around for an hour and swinging a fake club in the late evening wore on me. There's nothing wrong with the PS3 version though, I think it's the best TW game I've ever played other than this year's Wii edition.Last edited by ComfortablyLomb; 07-02-2009, 01:19 PM.Comment

Sure it would be nice to have 27 courses, but it's not like 16 is horrid or anything ... and they're all good courses.Comment

I have a PS3, Wii and an Xbox 360. I will let you know since I have played Tiger Woods on the PS3 & 360 and I just purchased the Wii version with Motion Plus. I am on vacation this week so I will unwrap the game and put in some mileage tomorrow.Comment

Re: Looking for Input: TW for Wii or 360?
Well now that I have spent some time with the Wii version, I can now give you my impressions.
Graphics = PS3 / 360 but the Wii isn't bad in this department.
Difficulty = Wii using the motion plus.
Courses = Wii with 27.
Replay = Wii since you have more courses and it is fun working on your golf swing.
Positives:
You can't go wrong with any of the versions. The load times are longer on the PS3 for some reason. I noticed the same with Fight Night Round 4 but I am not sure why this is.
Negatives:
There may be more of statistical depth on the PS3 / 360 versions than the Wii. There is a slight lag from swing using the Wii so the motion plus is not perfect.
Out of the 3, I prefer the Wii for the additional courses as well as the fun factor of having to actually play using the motion plus. I will continue to clock in more time using the Wii so take these early impressions / comparisons in stride.Last edited by Rules; 07-06-2009, 02:28 PM.Comment

I'm much happier with the Wii version due to the immersion. I've been able to deal with the graphics since it looks like an Xbox 1 game instead of a crappy port of a PS2 game now.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment
