    TW10 novice

I don't play golf. Don't watch golf. 1st time I bought a golf game in 3-4 years & that one I kept for less than a week. I used to play Golden Tee @ the local truck stop back in the day.

So if any question I ask seems like any dummy should already know it, keep in mind I'm a genuine dummy.

    After playing about 5 rounds......

Does the equipment you can buy matter? If so, what do they do?

What does +1,2 experience mean? What does it do?

How do I collect pts to improve my golfer? Do the pts improve your accuracy or distance or what?

    How do I hook/slice?

I haven't been able to get >100 power on my swing yet...How do I accomplish that?

What do I need to know when I land in the bunkers?

      OK...

You have attributes in Power, Accuracy, Short Game, and Putting. They are out of 10 or 12 points or something. If you buy pieces of equipment that say something like Accuracy +1 or Power Boost or something like that, it helps your golfer in that attribute. If the piece of equipment of clothing doesn't say anything like that I don't think it helps you at all, it's just there for looks or whatever.

Your attributes will go up and down when you play any mode I believe. You can do stroke play/match play etc just for fun, or you can play PGA season mode or online or tournament challenge and afterwards you will see your attributes go up or down depending on how you did. Then sometimes it will ask you to do some drills that will improve your attributes if you do them well. There is no collecting points really, it does it automatically based on how you play.

To Hook/Slice you use the RB and LB buttons on the 360. Press B to see where you are aiming, and then press one of those buttons to draw or fade the ball. You'll see your landing area move some.

To get greater than 100% power, I think you hit the LB button during your swing (tap repeatedly). Only on the lower difficulty levels though

When you land in bunkers look in the bottom left corner of the screen to see what % your lie is. If it says 90% that means the ball will go 90% of your normal full shot distance, so you need to attempt to hit it 10% farther than normal to make up for that. If it says 50% you have a bad lie and the ball will only go 50% as far as you would expect. Play around with it to get used to it, other than that you don't have to aim left or open the club face or anything

        Thanks for the advice

All though I use the Ps2, some of that is helpful.
