See guys here saying they cap their power attributes to 6. How can you do that?

you just need to type in the password: powercap6 ... or whatever number you want.

It only affects the power rating.

Frankly, I think 9 is the perfect rating.

That's true, but if I'm competing on the PGA Tour, I want at least to have PGA attributes.

If I created myself in Madden, I don't think my 8.4 40 would work very well.

LOL. I create myself in games according to how good I was 20-30 years ago. How good I was in my dreams I should add.

thanks guys....

boy i REALLY wish i could cap the "short game" stat....while many think it does NOTHING...ive found that it controls the RANGE of your shot when in bunkers/rough.

ie: 12 short game- bunker shot 82-84 (so just a math penalty)
5 short game- bunker shot 82-95%....makes your more uncertain of shot....more realism

I agree. I don't let my attributes climb above 7-8. What I do is every 2-3 games I set up a 9-hole round and intentionally shoot like crap, after which my attributes take a big hit.

I also wish there was a way to limit stats for online play, like having an option when you create a match to make all players play with the same player or stats. I'm sick of people hitting the green in one shot on practically every par-4. Last night I played stroke play where one guy ended up shooting a 51. Ridiculous.

They really need to fix this. They are back limiting tour pro tournaments to 7 on all attributes (why did this come back all of a sudden?)

Most tournaments only allow one try, so you can't get a good practice round in. The powercap isn't enough. The other attributes stuck at 7 is a totally different game.

I like it, I just wish I could practice with the same abilities.

Huh? I want a practice round, but cannot do it with the same attributes I get in the tournament, unless I spend hours purposely tweaking my golfers attributes to match the capped tournaments.

Practicing with driving at 10.5, accuracy at 9.5, short game at 7 and putting at 8 doesn't do me a damn bit of good for the real tournaments.

If practice rounds are cheating, then every PGA pro is cheating every week.

I can't help you with the variable attributes.

Have you tried playing by yourself online with the setting up the same conditions using your golfer? Not sure if you can play solo online, but find someone on XBL you like to play with and use your character and set the course conditions the same as the LIVE tournament you want to play in. They put the Practice feature in for offline play this year, possibly they will do it for online play next year and call it the "Pro-Am"....
