I don't care. I just play to have a good time.

This describes me in a nutshell. I do not play video golf to win every tournament I play in, even though I would be lying if I said I did not try. However, if I make a bogey or double bogey, so what? I play to relax and have a good time with what little free time I have so I quit caring how well I competed years ago...10 years ago, however it was a very different story when EA had the EA Sports Internet Tour for TW99 for PC....

Haha...I agree with you man! Ask me 6 years ago and I wanted to win EVERYTHING...but there comes a time when you just realize that you arent going to win trying to play honest. Its hard enough when you have a full-time job and now we have to deal with modded controllers and system...I just said forget it. They only time I feel I MUST win is when I'm playing friends...

Oh yeah, that's a must! What I miss in this series is the ability to setup 4-round tourneys with friends plus CPU opponents. There's nothing like making the cut and getting to move on to rounds 3 and 4 while your buds are relegated to grumbling observers.

Oh yeah, that's a must! What I miss in this series is the ability to setup 4-round tourneys with friends plus CPU opponents. There's nothing like making the cut and getting to move on to rounds 3 and 4 while your buds are relegated to grumbling observers.

If this game had customizable tourneys (online and offline), I'd be in gaming nirvana.
It seems like such a stupid oversight, given their focus on tourneys this year.

Oh man...that would be AWESOME, especially considering we like to play on Tour Pro difficulty. Missing the cut is certainly always a possibility when playing on Tour Pro.

That's my attitude. I understand the complaints. But I never worry about beating the CPU in these sports games. In my last baseball game I had a winning percentage of 32%, lol. And in all these years, I've never won a season championship in any sport, with the exception of winning the overall championship in a video golf game back in 1997. But that was it. I don't care. I just play to have a good time.

You just described my sports gaming "career." I don't think I've ever managed to win a Super Bowl, World Series (let alone the division), or any other title. I just play to have fun. I actually am having more luck winning in Tiger. I actually won my first tourney in career shooting a -20. I'm actually ranked 12th in the Fed Ex Cup. I keep dabbling with my skills and attributes with equipment. I was going most of my career with no boost in ratings but decided the pros boost their skills with equipment, so why shouldn't I? But the only rating I boost is power and that's by +1 only. I was getting tired of driving in the 280-300 range and never above. Now I can hit the ball up to about 330. But if I continue winning, I may have to take it back again.
I just can't seem to put the game down. It's actually got me appreciating golf again and itching to play some real golf (except it runs minimum +$50 a round where I live. I'm too cheap. That's a game I could buy instead).

hey look, I agree with what you all said. I think the game is a ton of fun and in the end thats what really matters.. I was merely frustrated to no end cause i couldn't beat the TW/RM challenge... the 18hole playoff. I finally did it last night shooting the score of 18under to edge tigers 17under YAY!.

And about madden.... 2005/2006 where about the last fun ones... i dont even plan on buying madden this year.. I still have played last years madden more then maybe 2-3 quarters and i payed 100bucks for it.

haha...congrats!!! I see where you are coming from....the scores are absolutely ridiculous! However, the scores I put up are absolutely ridiculous also, so it kinda balances things out!
