TW 10 (Wii)... After the honeymoon

Was thinking of picking up TW 10 for the Wii after work today, so I came by and read through the "Impressions" thread. My main issue with golf games is how they usually get really easy, really fast. In that thread, everyone seemed to think that TW10 would continue to pose a good challenge. Now that you've been playing the game for 2+ months, what are your thoughts on the game's difficulty? Especially now that your created golfer's stats are maxed.

I know some of you purposely kept your stats low in order to retain the challenge, but I'm not interested in doing that. I want to play online, and to be competitive, I assume you need to play with near maxed stats. So for those of you with maxed golfer's, what kind of scores are you shooting? Do you feel like you're better at the game now more because of being familiar with the swing control and game mechanics? Or are you better simply because your golfer's attributes are better?

The game is a little too easy with your skills maxed. It is more fun to play the Wii version of TW 10 offline with the skills for your player set low. You can make game very challenging or easy. I have not yet mastered the precision putting in the Wii version and miss long puts most of the time. I have the game set to where you must have good swing to hit the fairways and it is very challenging.

I have the game set up where only a near perfect swing will be successful. If I miss slightly the ball will often land in the ruff or bunker in the very difficult golf courses. TW 10 for Wii really is a great fun game especially the precision putting. The only downside is the AI golfers "rubberbanding" problem. I do not play against AI competition though and only try to beat my own scores.

I have increased my players skill a little and still find the game challenging. You do not want to increase the skills too much though because then the game may lose some of the challenge factor. The problem playing online is that the cheezers max their stats while yours is set low and you are disadvanged.

Once you play this game with Wii motion plus there is no going back to playing golf games with an analog stick.

Yeah playing TW on Wii is an entirely different experience and it is just so much fun. It puts all other golf games to shame.
