Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
Why are you posting this here? EA is not going to read what is posted here and if you do post at the link above, make sure to expand on what your wishes are so they are completely understood. This is a great opportunity to have a voice in what goes into TW11....isn't that what we spend our time here doing anyway? Posting what we don't like or wish was in or should be in the game? Numbers = action.....PC / Xbox One X

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
I posted it to make me feel better. I don't post on EA's board and rarely on OS anymore. Madden, Fight Night, Tiger, Community Days, Blogs, etc... are all a waste of time...they don't listen and their final products are a perfect example of it. Using Tiger..after all these years, they have yet to even fix the scoring rubberband glitch.
I guess you don't spend any time at the Tiger forums as EA has added a number of user ideas and feedback for the patches as well as new features and enhancements for the Live Tournaments. So the TW Dev Team is and has been "listening". The AI scoring has been adjusted every year since 07. They just have not nailed it down yet. The more feedback they get on such issues, the higher priority it will have. Stay here and complain then and waste your time doing so....PC / Xbox One X

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
They could have all the forums they want; they will still release another turd next year and nickel and dime the customer to death. I hear they're working on a way to charge you for opening the case. They're gonna have a special lock on it that will only open when you send 'em $3 via credit card. Oh, and every AI golfer is gonna average a 48 at Pinehurst. No way they're gonna be content with those 61's and 59's this year--they can do better.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
Guess you have not spent much time at the EA Tiger forums....the improvement in Developer/Community interaction from even a year ago is amazing. Posting your comments here don't have any chance of improving the game, but I am sure you will come and complain about the game anyway regardless if it is improved or not. Great attitude....PC / Xbox One X

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
Sounds like you haven't actually played TW 10. TW 10 is a pretty good game this year. As for paying for online extras, that's where online gaming is headed. You can't pin that exclusively on EA. And I haven't paid a penny since I bought the game, and I enjoy it immensely. Completely your choice if you want/don't want to pay for extras.Comment

Uh, no. Madden has always been their one and only DTR (designated turd release) video gaming product.

i havent any idea how long the poster you were refering to has played the game either, but i for one have put in plenty of time into and its not a whole lot of fun for me.
sometimes ppl just have a different opinion on games than you...it doesnt always mean they havent spent enough time with it.
then again there isnt anything wrong with encouraging ppl to make sure they give it a complete try before giving up on it.
just dont understand why you seem to just assume that its due to time put in.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
youd think that would be common sense wouldnt ya ???
oh well guess not.
at this point i dont have any hope or energy that ea's golf series will ever include the list above...considering you'd think it would be a given.
imo all ea sports titles "always" have to much... oh what shall we call it...."sugar" and not enough meat.
its like their target age group is 10-15. which is fine too, just not for me thats all.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
You read that post. You think that was someone's informed opinion based on hours spent playing TW 10? Be honest.Last edited by baa7; 09-24-2009, 04:20 PM.Comment

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
Seems like you have not spent much time on the EA forums reading the DEV feedback and changes and improvements asked for by the community....the list of changes from the OP are not frequently asked for in the EA Tiger forums, so if you REALLY want these improvements, you need to speak up and communicate the urgency to the Devs.....greasy wheel gets the grease....PC / Xbox One X

Re: Tiger Woods Developer Forum
I see people don't believe I've played this game long enough to form an educated opinion. How wrong they are. Here is a post I made on the EA forums about the pitiful AI: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/309330.page. Yes, I am the author of that post.
Being that I usually play the NBA 2k series and try to tweak the game to play as sim as possible, TW10 has left me in utter bewilderment. A sports game in 2009 with no option to change the difficulty of your AI competition? Imagine you buy 2K and you cannot change the difficulty of the CPU from Superstar or Hall of Fame. People would pitchfork their offices.
And then you say: well, the game is built around online play. Oh, great. Let me jump in and fire up a tournament. What, you cannot have a playing partner? What, people are shooting 25 under par for a round? I thought...
Ok, so let me tweak my sweet spots low, buy some expert clubs, tank my stats, and type in a power cap, to get the game to play somewhat realistically. But I better not choose an AI golfer to play against, because they will make every single putt under 15 feet, shoot 58 at Pinehurst in championship conditions, and play damn near every single hole the exact same way every time. Oh, but I can play in offline tournaments competing against faceless numbers--wow. But then I'll set up a tournament with my own settings...wait. Oh right, they don't have that.
So what am I left with: 1) Playing realistic rounds whenever my friends are available. 2) Asking people to post realistic rounds on Gamernet to play against (which I've done) or 3) Play solo rounds with my chosen settings with no competition at all. For a sports game in 2009, all those options blow chunks.
Look, in a sports game, AI is one of the most important aspects of the gameplay. TW10 isn't just bad, it's pathetic. The only thing worse than their AI, is their online play. So yeah, you tell me how they deserve another $60 for that. Oh wait,, that's almost $120 with all their ripoff extra courses and nickel-and-dime "unlockables"...which I won't even go into, lest my keyboard should go on fire.Last edited by Kernel Pie; 09-25-2009, 09:47 PM.Comment
