DLC courses for 600 MP is RIDICULOUS EA!!!
I purchased Banff and spyglass and then realized that I had just blown 1200 MP and only had 400 left from my 1600 card...since then I have played the new courses a few times just to check them out, but other than that (since they are not integrated into the PGA Tour season) I don't really find a functional way to play these courses...In addition, the game cost me 59.99 and there were 16 courses released w/ the game. If I would have been a complete foolish idiot and purchased all 7 DLC (I think it's 7) it would have cost me $52.50!!!! So let me get this straight, a full game w/ all the trimmings and 16 courses costs 59.99, and 7 random courses which can in no way be incorporated into the PGA Tour season or Tiger Challenge costs almost as much???? WOW, God bless you EA, you guys really know how to take a big piping hot dump on your loyal consumers who purchased the full retail game in the first place. Why don't you guys just sell a disc next year w/ 8 random courses and no other content for 59.99??? and then you can put out 7 separate pieces of the retail game as DLC for like $20 each??? But remember 7 separate pieces of the game can't be integrated in w/ the 8 initial courses that you initial bought because that just wouldn't make sense!!!right???? WHat a joke you guys at EA are....I am trading in my tiger woods 10 game tomorrow and I am now done with the franchise...I still like the game, but you have made me so bitter that I cannot enjoy the game anymore...thank you very much...EA, if it's in the game, it's in the game.....Waw, Waw~~~~~~Tags: None -

I'm not trading in TW 10 but I agree with you completely.
600 MS points is way too much for a course that can't be used in any mode of the game (offline) but casual 18-hole stroke play.
They should give us a package deal for all the DLC courses and the ability to use them in our offline career (sorry Divotmaker ... you knew I'd bring that up again).

I bought the game, spent 60 bucks, and haven't spent or even thought about spending a single penny more on it. And I'm not blowing a gasket. Those courses -- that's totally up to you whether you want to fork out the dough. The way I look at it is they're offering a product that I'm not interested in purchasing. Same relationship I have with most any other seller of merchandise. Nothing more or less than that.Last edited by baa7; 10-02-2009, 02:27 PM.Comment

And BTW, Links courses used to sell for more than that. I remember going into computer-software stores and seeing single courses offered for $9.95, and 3-course packs for $24.95. And that was more than a dozen years ago.Comment

You could also convert most of your old Links courses to the newest version of the game, so you didn't have to rebuy the same courses over and over again.Comment

I can't see myself buying the next Tiger unless they do something phenomenal. I'm pretty pleased with '10 right now and I'm going to get my monies worth for the two courses that I did purchase.Comment

I see they've got a new one coming out Thursday... Riviera. Nice course, but not in my top ten favs. I certainly won't be giving up 600 MS points for it. I guess people must be buying these courses in sufficient enough quantities to justify the price point. I find it surprising because I'm a hardcore Tiger Woods 10 player, yet I can't come close to paying that much for one course. I guess it speaks to my being an ever harder core tight-arse!Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

People need to post their displeasure on the EA site, I did. I guarentee that in Tiger 11, the new courses for Tiger 10 will be DLC. Seems like all the new courses for 09 are now DLC for this year, which is a complete joke at 7 bucks a pop.Comment

There is no such thing as stupid DLC, only stupid people who download it.Comment

I'm one of "those people". I've bought every DLC course (except for the one I got free from my preorder)
Why? I play Tiger a ton. Honestly, this has been the only game I've played a lot since June until NHL came out in September. Even now, I still play it quite a lot (I've fallen behind because I lost my gamesave due to a 360 failure and have to unlock all that equipment... yet again...)
It is silly they don't add these to season mode. Honestly all I play is practice rounds or online tournaments, so this isn't an issue for me, but I know it is for many others.
For me, I look at the number of hours I will play a game when spending on DLC. For Tiger, for me it is a no-brainer. I will put tons and tons of hours into TW10. There is only one sports game I play right up until next year's release... Tiger Woods golf.
I understand for those that play the game a lot but not nearly as much as me the cost of DLC is hard to justify.
There are a handful of console games where I get my "bang for the buck" many times over. Tiger is one of those where I always do.Go Sabres!Comment
