Didn't he already state last year that it was too late to incorporate into TW10 and would be in TW11.

He did say it couldn't be added to TW 10, but I never read anything that confirmed it for TW 11... just that it would get serious attention.

I'm thinking worst case scenario that has to be one of the things included this year. It better be, actually it doesn't really matter to me because I refuse to shell out extra cash for courses that should already be included.

I'll consider buying DLC courses, provided they back off the price a bit. They need to offer bulk package prices. For example, I would give 1200 MS points ($15) for a bundle of three courses. I just think $7.50 each is way out of scale compared to the unit cost of the courses included on the game disk.

One thing that actually killed Pro Stroke were those 300 yd par 3's, 440 yd par 5's and such. Plus each of the courses, outside of the Belfry and Lake Nona, were just the same courses rearranged in a different order. 35 days left and the game will come out. With no new info on TW11, it'll be like MLB 10 The Show's demo coming out after the actual game release, before we even see a TW11 demo.

One other idea I have why the info seems to be delayed. Its called Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011, right ? Maybe they decided to do away with the Tiger Challenge aspect, and they'll use the room to add 2-4 courses, so they can have a better career mode. Its not called Tiger Woods Challenge Golf.

Hey Divot, were you part of this years community day at EA? If not, what feature do you think is going to be a huge addition to the series ? I'd like a general idea of what you are thinking.

Could they possibly be re-doing career mode all together? They moved away from sponsorships and things like that in the next-gen consoles. I wish I could play the Wii's career mode on the ps3. I liked how Links had the amateur tournaments with no-names and you had to progress through what a real career could represent

NDA prevents me from discussing anything not yet released by EA publicly. Sorry. When they begin releasing information, I can then comment on it. Keep in mind, I played a non-final version and with all the feedback the CD folks gave EA, I am sure it will be better than the builds we were playing.

Ok, so you were there. No problem. Its 34 days to release, so we should get some info soon, I hope. Once NDA is lifted, hopefully Divot can describe the difference between what he played and what things they have released.

Be careful what you wish for. The Wii career mode was horrible. They had progression but it never developed into a true season mode. It just gave you escalating goals. If you finished a certain goal it would then tell you to win 2 majors and finish a certain rank etc.... The only problem is they had no season stats available to see your rank compared to the other PGA golfers thru the year so you felt no real immersion. In fact no season stats to speak of. It was very bare bones. In fact it was a gamekiller because online with the Wii is piss poor so there's no value there.

That's something I really hope they fix this year because prefer to play the Wii version especially with the true view mode. If not then I guess I'll have to wait for the PS3 wand to debut in the fall.

The Wii is not capable of all the things 360 or PS3 are. That's why they probably had no stat tracking for the career mode. The career mode needs to be better than the one in 2008. I got it cause I like Glen Abbey and Bandon Dunes. Made 2 cuts in about 8 events and I'm still 71st in the Fed Ex Cup. If I shoot that bad, I shouldn't be on Tour. Love to see them add a Qschool, so you could try and get your card. That there is a true career mode.

-Thats what I was thinking, I thought that 11 would be awesome with an immersive career mode with Amateur tourneys and Q-School, ryder cup, match play events, sponsorships, ect. I just get tired of the some old thing trying to better my golfer through tiger challenge. I think its a fun thing to do, but I want more of a solid career mode.

Like I said earlier its not called Tiger Woods Challenge Golf, its Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11. The only way to improve your golfer is with PRACTICE! I don't get better at golf by challenging people at the local muni course. I go to the range, hit a few buckets of balls, then hone my skills on the course. Just wish EA would get off their butts and release more info. Stupid NDA!

The season mode could use some enhancement for sure. Your citing of the need for match play events points out an area in which I think the game's competitive options are deficient. The pros have the Accenture Match Play Championship, why can't we have something comparable using the licensed pros in the game? I would love to have a multi round match play tournament in TW 11. We could at least have a 16 player match play tournament. I think it would be a nice twist.

Also, there was a tournament on Tour a few years ago called The International, which used the modified Stableford system. I'd love to see something similar added to career mode too.

I pretty much sat the console version out from TW 99 thru TW 2003. I got into 2004's TW on the XBox, for about a month. I likely would have missed what you are referencing. I then sat out TW 2005, after a week rental. I got back onboard with the 360 version of TW 2006. From then until TW10, I would play each new version for 2 to 4 months before they fell out of favor with me. I'm still playing the 360 verison of TW 10, 11 months later! It's not the season/career mode that's responsible for that though... it's Live Tournaments and meterless precision putting, FTW!

TW 07 for PS2 had a Match Play Tourney. I think that's the one you're referring to.
