33 days until release and still NOTHING ! The demo, if there is one, will probably come out after the release, just like Sony did with MLB 10 The Show. This stuff EA is putting us through is like the little boy who took his ball home cause he was mad and didn't want to play anymore. All we need is a little info EA!

EA Sports did release some new 360/PS3 screens today of Rory Mcllroy in action. Nothing new was revealed by the 11 or so screens that I could see. The accompanying text also doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. Honestly, this seems like nothing more than seizing the opportunity to cash in on Rory's recent headline success at Quail Hollow. I can't fault them for that, especially since Rory's on the cover, but as a gamer... it didn't answer any questions I still have on my mind.

With The Players this week, and Sawgrass usually on the game, what no better time to put out the final details.for the PS3 and 360. Especially if Rory and Tiger are in the final group Sunday.

Great point Shaunjuan2000... I think you may be on to something! They've only got tomorrow to do it in though; I don't think EA or the web media break new stories or press releases on weekends.

With nothing new breaking today, I'd say Tuesday is probably a more likely date for new media to break. The game's ship date would be exactly one month away at that point.

I think EA is just trying to actually move some wii product. They are probably spending more time and money on that version than the rest combined. Since there are abut a gillion Wii's in the marketplace, and golf is pretty casual friendly game, I thnk EA is hoping to hit paydirt.

But they really need to market the game to get the sales. It will be interesting to see if the "best" version of the game sells enough to make the investment worth it. If it fails, it won't be for a lack of trying. I may even buy the Wii version this time around.

But I think that is the reason they are ignoring the PS3 and 360.

I can see why you might think that, but it is not the case. All 3 versions should be pretty special this year. In fact, I think it is just the opposite as the Wii version is already completed and sent to manufacturing. My understanding is that TW10 for Wii has outsold both the 360 and PS3 versions combined. Should be interesting to see what is up with the 360/PS3 versions....

I really can't characterize what EA Sports is doing with the PS3 and 360 versions right now as "ignoring" them. I think there is something exclusive going on with one or both of these versions, even at this late hour, that has EA Sports sticking to their guns until they know what they've got brewing is complete. It would be embarrassing for them to announce some new feature or addition in a press release, only to turn around a few weeks later and retract it.

Yes, the Wii version outsold the 360 and PS3 versions last year. The only worldwide sales figures I saw (VGChartz.com) for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 had it thusly:

Wii - 810,000
PS3 - 550,000
360 - 540,000

42% of the total sales for 2010 is disproportionate to the 9:1 ratio of Wii to PS3/360 media and press releases for 2011. I can see the top seller getting the lion's share of hype, but the imbalance speaks to some other motivation.

Here's another possibility for the delay that I didn't have in my original list. Suppose EA Sports has figured out a way to have TW 10 DLC courses work in Tiger Woods 11? Let's say further that they're still working around the clock to ensure that the courses can be upgraded/converted to work in TW 11 before announcing it to the PS3/XBox 360 world.... that probably makes more sense than the other reasons I've come up with.

EA Sports wouldn't have to worry about this with the Wii version, since it had no DLC courses, ao they were finished with that version early and knew what it's complete feature set would be. Hence, the media storm with the Wii version while the other two are still in the shadows...

I am sure whatever the delay is, what we find out may be huge. I don't think that EA is trying to find out a way to use 10 courses in 11. That would be nice, especially if they are added into Career Mode. But EA uses DLC to put a little extra cash in their pockets. I trust all those who went to CD are just ready to burst with information but the NDA won't allow them to tell us anything. Hope it doesn't kill them.

It appears we do have some new next-gen gameplay video coming from EA Sports today! They recently posted this video featuring Rory McILrory in what has to be the PS3 or 360 version. It really shows off the cloth movement Tomba

. OTOH, it doesn't answer any of our gameplay questions, at least none that I can tell. Not even a hint at True View... not as I know True View anyway.

We are less than a month away from launch of TW11. We know Whistling Straits, Celtic Manor, and TPC Scottsdale are set to be on the game. The US Open is at Pebble and The Open Championship is at the Old Course. Plus the DLC which is available by Gamestop for preorders. I cannot wait to see what other additions are made to the course list.
Also, if the PS Move is coming out in the fall, will True View be an option as well on the PS3 ? I would like to see how the game plays without seeing the ball land at its target. Or without zooming to the target as well.

I've read two separate confirmations of True View being available in not only the PS3, but the XBox 360 versions as well. I don't know why they've chosed not to show True View in the two official gameplay videos we've seen of the next-gen versions thus far. It may have something to do with the information lockdown we're all speculating about....

If I understand the second part of your comment, I'm pretty sure that we'll be taken to a cut view of the ball reaching the destination, near or at the shot's conclusion. There may be an option to stricly hold the golfer view, but I haven't seen anything to suggest it yet.
