Having played both, if you can wait for TW11 (I played an early version at Tiburon in February), I would get TW11....

But TW11 is $60....

I dont want to spend $60 when I might not really like golf games...

I can get TW09 and TW10 for less than $20.

So; which of the 2 do you feel is better?

I agree, TW 10 was just flat out great. I'm not sure TW 11 is going to be $60 better than TW 10.

im kinda wondering 2 is TWs going to be worth $60 and maybes it wont be compared to TW10. But i havent purchased a TWs game since 07.

alot has changed since 07 in terms of gameplay, on top of ryder cup being a completely new way to experience the game, what i personally am hoping 4 is that TWs11 is such a great game that i wont have to buy another TWs game till atleast TW13 maybe TW14.

i write that to say this...i understand the desire to not wont to pay $60, but maybe you could wait until the reviews drop or maybe until the feedback from the boards come back, and if they are encouraging take a chance on TW11, that way everything about your TWs experience is up to date as far as features go plus having the most ppl to play onlineagainst, along with being able to play alongside the pros in this seasons real life events...and just not purchase another golf game for a couple of years

suppose you really enjoy TW10 then your more likely to either want TW11 or spend $60 on TW12

just a thought to consider

2 questions;

I guess there were a few patches for this game;

-Did it fix in-correct distances being disaplayed when sizing up a swing?

-Did it fix CPU controlled pro's being, like, perfect? I read one guy post Tiger Woods posted a -42 in one tournament... I mean... a -42..? Really?

Nope. That's definitely still in here and TW still is pretty superhuman. The CPU scoring always has been a problem in this game, one thing that must be fixed if I'm even thinking about touching TW 11.

Wow, so this game actually simulates pro's finishing tournaments at -42??

That sounds absurd... Im not going to buy it then....

Looking at the PGA leaderboards from this season, after 4 rounds (72 holes) usually the guy who wins is around -10 to -15.... With most decent golfers finishing at like -3 or -4.

For example the HP Byron Nelson Championship just wrapped up this Sunday. (72 holes) and the winner was Jason Day. The leaderboard was as follows;

-42 may be the worse case scenario. I've never seen that. But -20 - -30 is usually the range for scores. And others have said they don't see rubberband AI, I for one disagree. I definitely had Tiger make a run on me in a final round I started up by 4 strokes, and it's pouring rain w/ Tiger somehow still making birdies. The AI is far from perfect IMO, and unless they fix it in TW 11 I'm not buying it.

Honestly, the PGA Tour is just broke because of the scores. But I had plenty of fun playing though the challenges and online tournaments. Play the Pros was a good fun way to play the game.

If you absolutely need to play computer opponents in a career tour, then TW 10 won't be very good for you. But for solo play, it's the most fun I've had with a golf sim since PGA 2000 was put out by Sierra. I got a ton of hours of play time out of the game, and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Sometimes you just have to find out what a game does well, and enjoy that part of it. Especially if you can buy it for $20.

Hrmm...

Might as well wait and see TW11.

I enjoy "off-line" franchise modes and tour modes in sports games in general. In-fact I spend 90% of my time playing such modes in MLB and NBA games.

Hopefully the off-line PGA tour in TW11 has realistic scores.

CPU controlled golfers scoring in the -20's and -30's sounds silly to me....
