You could put in true view, true aim and all aids off and hell you could even find a way to incorporate true blisters on your golfers hands and people will still find a way to shoot -20. Complaining about it is such a waste of energy. Find some friends online and enjoy because any other way is not possible.
ROTFLMAO!! Seymour, you make a great point here and you are right on the mark... all the while doing it with side-splitting comedy! Seriously, my wife was throwing pillows at me, trying to get me to stifle the belly laughter so she could hear her precious Lifetime movie she's so enthralled with!

I can answer some questions, but cannot post a full-blown review until Tuesday when the NDA is lifted.

Do the TW devs even play golf? They must think tour pros shoot -18 each round. Based on what feedback I've read, looks like TW11 is TW 10 with new bells and whistles. Change the name of the game to Tiger Woods Hot Shots Golf. Players are still able to shoot 50 or lower, and can shrink the aiming circle down to the size of a zit. Arcade players rejoice. -30 rounds and multiple holeouts still available. Looks like I'll be playing Tour Pro with True Aim only, if I want to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, and not Tiger Woods Hot Shots Golf.

Hotshots provides much more realistic scores. your confusing cartoony with arcady. hotshots seems to be much more golf sim. no spin control after. etc.

While I do not like the after shot spin control or boost, you would be shocked at how many users prefer this style of gameplay. Could be part of the reason Tiger outsells HSG by a large number...that and the fact that HSG is limited to one platform, the PS3.

Speaking of after shot spin and power boost, could you imagine playing Madden and being able to move the ball in mid-air, or in NHL power boosting a slapshot while shooting the puck, Thats a gimmick and not a true to life game. Thats why TW series games need all the gimmicks shut off, so it'll play like true game. Supposedly, that happens on Tour Pro., but you still can use Focus (which should not be available in TP), so you can shrink the aiming circle to the size of a zit. True Aim fixes that. If you want as real of a game as possibe, TP/TA is the way to go. Then once the Move is released, then TW will be a great game.

Could not agree more. I do not know who the numbnuts was who put the arcade BS into TW years ago, but I have been banging on EA to separate the arcade part of the game completely from the simulation aspects of the game and improve on the simulation features. TrueAim, the variable winds, and random landing circle have taken TW11 a long way towards simulation.

Just played my first round of PGA TOUR Season mode offline and shot a -6 (not using TrueAim yet until I get my Golfer built up with XP where I want him) and the leader was -8. The leaderboard looked about right during the first round, but the real proof is going to come in the next 3 rounds. I will try to play those today and let everyone know what I find....

This. And don't forget Mario Golf as well. It's mystifying how both those games can get sim scores correct but TW 10 still couldn't.

Thanks for the feedback. My created "ME" is just a lowly rated golfer at this point. I was gonna go try my luck in a PGA Tour event but decided to try and build him up a bit. Are you on 360 or PS3?

I am using True-Aim and it is pretty good as far as comparing to being on the course and following/wondering if you hit a good shot or not. I also dig the blue tracer for some reason. Without it I don't think I could follow the ball

Also DM are you playing Tour Pro/Pro

So far, in TW11, realistic scoring is here and the challenge is steep in TOUR Pro.

TOUR Pro only. Just finished my second Season mode round at Whistling Straits and shot -6 to lead after 2 rounds at -12. Tiger is in second at -10 and KJ Choi is 3rd at -8. So far, so good.

Best thing to do is to get a list of players here and add them to your friends list.

We had a list for 360 going last year and that worked well. You can filter live tourney scores by friends only so you can get some realistic competition.

Either way, people are going to cheat and boost to get to the top of any leaderboard. This has been a problem with every video game that has ever had a leaderboard.

I just stick to live tournaments and hope to finish well relative to all the people with their special controllers.

Yeah, the list last year was good for a while.

Do they still have Gamernet Challenges in TW11, where you can save an entire round and post it for other people to play against? I swear this was the most underused aspect of the game for Tour Pro/Sim players. I thought it was the best way to play rounds against people with realistic scores.

Anyone know if they still have this feature?

Gamernet, yes. Can't answer if you can post a whole round like 10 did, but I would be surprised if you couldn't.
