Are the online scores outrageous again this year?

When you play online is it possible to compete this year? I was always turned off by the online tourneys and such because I couldn't shoot 27 under (18 holes) to get close to the leader...Has EA figured out how to get that under control?

I played 1 live tournament so far. It was on tour pro with true view on. The leader at the time was -14, which was pretty realistic as the conditions were not too tough and I'm sure someone has a ton of XP already. I think someone from here was like -6 or so.

I did not see how it ended though, but the leaderboard looked pretty realistic.

I'm hoping these will be better this year because they added two things:

-Now, even if you make a 100% perfect swing, the ball will not necessarily land in the dead center of the aiming circle. It will hit somewhere within that circle but with that variability.
-Gusty/variable winds make it impossible to "dial in" a perfect shot every time.

I'm really hopeful that live tournaments are better this year. However, I have zero faith in gamers. Where there's a leaderboard, there's a bunch of kids who will cheat, glitch, mod, or whatever to get on top.

The TOUR Pro and TOUR Pro with TrueAim tournaments online are pretty realistic in scoring so far. Out of 11 tournaments, I have broken par twice, this morning shot a -10 at Hazeltine. In TW10, I broke par in EVERY tournament averaging -12....

That's good to hear. The arcade style power swing and spin after he shots always left a bad taste in my mouth. Luckily we can disable them this year. I know you could last year but, it was still to easy to through darts.

I'm really bad! Just shot a monster +15 on my first Live True Aim tour pro tourney. I actually didn't mind bein that bad. Almost like real golf. And I suck at real golf.
