Made the cut -- and it feels so good

I just made the cut for the first time after like six tourneys. Shot 66 at Celtic Manor after 71 in the first round. I'm four shots out of the lead.

I'm starting to figure out True Aim, and it's really rewarding. I had been overclubbing consistently on my approach shots. I'm hitting more greens, getting up and down when I don't and avoiding big numbers.

I don't know whether my CAG's increased accuracy has had that big an impact on pitching, but I'm finally hitting those reasonably close. I also figured out the chipping which is a big help.

I had a blast in those two rounds. Fairways and greens, hit a few putts, made a few saves. It felt like real golf.

AI tourney scores seem to be much more realistic. I haven't seen seen -20 four-round scores yet.

Right now I'm loving this game.

My approaches with true aim always seem to bounce off the green. No matter what, then when I try to club down I go to far down. It's a struggle, but it has improved my putting. Having to really focus on puts to get to par has helped. I played in a Tour Pro True Aim event last night and I made it around in averaging 1.37 puts per hole. Still had a +10 but it wasn't a problem with the flat iron!

Congrats on making the cut............still a way's off here. The best I have been able to do, is miss the cut by 4 strokes( which oddly felt like a win for me)

After missing the cut in the 1st 3 tourneys, I made it at the Scottsdale course but still finished 60th and with a +5.

Got Bethpage next and thought I was pretty much screwed with those 500+ yd Par 4's but I somehow putted like a fiend and I'm tied for 3rd after shooting a -3 in the 1st round. Little nervous about playing the 2nd round tonite because my putting saved me the 1st round.

Don't forget about putting a little english on that ball with backspin and topspin. Can really help with fast greens.

How the hell do you put "english" on the ball when playing Tour pro level, and true aim??

              Appreciate the help!

The little dot on your ball icon in the bottom left hand corner. It's right in the middle as default. If you want a backspin then use the right stick and move it toward the bottom, the lower you go the more backspin you're gonna get, for topspin move it toward the top and then hit. For a draw or fade move it right or left accordingly.

Right there you should be able to shave 5 strokes off your round.
