Is there a way to change your nickname?

When I made my golfer, I left my nickname as the default "champ" not really knowing what the nicknames were for.

Now I realize its for when people on the course yell "Go Champ" and stuff if you sink a birdie, or T off well.

So is there a way to change the nickname after you make a golfer?

I dont want to start over just to have a nickname I like... but I wish I had chosen something cooler.

That would assume there is something cooler. IMO, all of the nicknames are stupid. I don't need the crowd calling my name, and I wish I could turn the nickname off completely. There doesn't seem to be an option for no nickname.

I don't believe so just like you can't edit the name of your created golfer. When I created my golfer I put "mike" and it annoys me to no end when I see my name on the leader board like this :

Ernie Els -10
Tiger Woods -9
Rory McIlroy -8
mike -7

Have no idea why you can edit your name (or nickname for that matter).

I'd like to know if this is possible too. I have not seen a way to do it.

I'm delighted to hear my first name being called out, it really helps with the immersion. But for some reason, my nickname (whatever it is) sounds like "Ham". I guess it may be 'Champ", but it sounds like 'ham' to me LOL.

Chuckle, I totally agree with this! They are all lame. I have been "Eagle Eye" two years in a row now, as it was the only thing close to appealing, but I still don't like it. Would like to turn it off too.

I also think its weird that the pro/computer golfers you play with are referred to only by their last name, but I am referred to by first and last name. Guess next time I will just make up a last name and leave first name blank.

Also, the nickname you chose probably is "Hamz." I noticed Hamz on the list, so you are indeed Bacon.

After looking at the list, I have to say "Champ" is actually one of the least lame. SO maybe its not so bad afterall.

Last year, I thought it'd be cute to go with 'Shooter' for a nick, being a Happy Gilmore fan....I love so many of Shooter McGavin's lines (This is Shooter's tour!) but after several rounds I got sick of it, but no can change LOL. I've played TW11 a LOT more the TW10 already anyway....

Yeah the nickname list is really lame in general. I wish they had better nickname choices, and more of them. Theres only like 23 to pick from...

And the choices are corny/lame things like;

"Champ"
"Princess"
"Shooter"
"Hamz"
"Eagle Eye"
"Sweetness"

And you HAVE to choose one. As another poster said... you cant turn it off. So in PGA season mode the fans will always yell something goofy...

Why not have a bunch of common first names programmed as well?

Like; Mike, John, Kim, Carlos, Juan, or Mohammed. (Peace be on his name.)
