best way to "build" my golfer?

    hello!

any tips on "building" my golfer?

i have worked my way up to level 5 - but i always use my XP for "attributes" -

should i use more (or SOME) on equipment?

what have YOU done, and why?

also, the Skills Challenge - why are they worth "1 point" or "2 points" - what does that "point" mean?

thanks guys - i appreciate someone willing to tolerate my noob questions!

    1. Doesn't matter what your guys appearance is, if thats what you're asking. Get your attributes as far as you can before they don't go up any farther.

    2. Use your xp on equipment once you are fully attributed. You can occasionally buy a new ball or glasses or hat or shoes, if you want, not that expensive.

    3. I did exactly as explained above. Its just easier to rank your guy up and then you can start winning tournaments, online games, etc. and you can get more xp than if you're guy had great equipment and no skill.

    4. The points in skills challenge are only to unlock the new challenges. Once you have unlocked all the challenges by beating the easier ones, they are worthless, don't worry about those points, just play all the challenges.

    5. And no problem, thats what this forum and community is all about, helping fellow sports gamers out and talking about sports and what not.

Thanks for the info! I'm currently lvl 4. Should I concentrate on one attribute before another? Or should I give xp evenly to all attributes? Currently I have my power skill in the 50s but my other skills are lacking. I think my next highest skill is my putting. I think that skill is in the low 30s.

Work on building up the putting and accuracy. It helps out a lot. I got the tip on OS to just play all the course to get XP. You can view this as being in the Q school before you begin your career. Also the Tiger Target golf thingy can also help with the XP....

what's the benefit of playing the courses first? i am just playing them in offline career to get better - figure i get more XP that way... even if i don't win...

is it bad to "lose" tourneys? can't you just win them "next year" ???

and i read on here about a career lasting 5 years - is that true? what happenes - is the golfer "retired" and unable to play anymore? or do you just have to do other things (like online tourneys) -

also, is it better to play 1 round tourneys? i set it up for 2 round tourneys, and 4 round majors - that way i get more rounds in, hence more XP - will this grow frustrating for any reason (such as speed)?

          thanks again, for your responses!

Well, there's no set formula for successfully building a player in terms of what to put your XP towards. Each player is different. My wife is very accurate with her swing stick motion, so she's funneling her XP towards putting and power, and will stock up the accuracy part later.

For me, I went with putting and power to get started. I think power is really important for a couple of reasons. 1), you need to be able to reach some of those fairways from the blacks! LOL 2), increasing power helps with ALL of your clubs, because you'll be able to use shorter clubs at longer distances, which will help your approach shots a LOT.

Putting is tougher this year, it seems, so gotta build that one up quick, too. Getting on a par 4 in two doesn't matter if you're putting two and three constantly.
