I just purchased Carolinas pack today - not exactly sure why! (other than I like those historical courses - Harbour Town and Pinehurst)

    Have you bought any?

    Which, and why?

(maybe i'll write up a review of each tonight?)

    We meet again

Yes, I've bought several....okay, MOST. What can I say, I love TW11 this year, and I'm kinda maxing it out. I work for a living, I want the courses, so I buy them. (ducks tomatoes from those who will post about the bad pricing of the individual courses and no DLC courses can be played in season mode, BOTH VALID ARGUMENTS)

I have everything EXCEPT The Predator, Doral and The International Pack. I love all of em! It's great to have so many courses I can go play on. And yes, it's a shame (even a crime) that the DLC courses don't integrate into the career/season mode schedule, but I they are present in Xbox Live tournaments at times, Play Now modes, and you can play online with a buddy if he's got the same course you do.

They are also worth it for ME, because I've already logged more time on this Tiger Woods game than the last three combined.

do you recommend buying that one?

also, anyone know why some courses are more expensive than others?

more polished? or more memory/space required?

The original DLC courses were released at around $10 (to much debate and controversy). There were more than a few complains from the community at this price. Waialae Country Club and Blackwolf Run are great courses, but whether they are worth $10 is solely up to each individual.

Later on, EA released course packs for a much lower price. Why? Well, we can all speculate but ultimately we don't know. Many of the courses in the course pack were available on the disc or as DLC from TW10, so perhaps the conversion was much simpler.

Either way, you have to decide what is "worth it" for you.

          I've purchased:
          Waialae Country Club
          Blackwolf Run
(both very expensive, but very nice courses).

North America Pack - Banff Springs & Bay Hill
          (Both great courses)

Carolina Pack Shot List - Harbour Town & Pinehurst
          (Also very nice courses)

I got Riviera as a pre-order bonus from Gamestop.

I'll probably end up buying the International Pack as well eventually.

For me, I'm really loving TW11 with true aim, and I don't mind putting some $$ into DLC courses to give me more variety.

I pretty much only do "play now" or the occasional live tournament.

              I never play career mode.

Waialae was more of a nostalgic buy for me. Like most of the courses in Hawaii it is pretty flat and wide open. Wind can be troublesome at times. I agree with the other poster though, it really depends on what you want to pay for these courses. I play a lot of the career and online stuff (play the pros), so I've really only played my DLC twice. I probably won't buy any more, because I can't add them to my career courses. I really hope EA changes that for next year.

you should be able to own the course for more than just one year...

i would definitely buy more, but i am not sure how much i would play them... so that holds me back.

weird question to ask, but how does "play now" stay fun for you?

Last year I spent most of my time in Live tournaments. This year I haven't had a ton of time to play and my game has suffered so I don't even bother with the tournaments right yet.

The Live Tournament scores can be dominated by people who are always -25, but we had a group of friends on 360 who played regularly. You can filter the tournament by friends only and we had a bunch of people right around the same skill level.

I always enjoy just posting a score without needing any direct competition.

Honestly I don't think I've ever spent much time in career mode at all.

i know what you mean about the tourneys - seems ridiculous the scores that the top 10 put up...

i dont mind posting "human" numbers in those tourneys, though... i just do it to track my own progress - and hope for the rare top 20 or top 40 finish!

on the Links game i loved, you could actually create your own private tourney - that way everybody played the same conditions... i wish TW let you do that...

The only one I will get will be the Carolina Pack when I get bored with all the other courses. It's at a reasonable price for 2 courses and I live in NC. I don't mind $4.99 for 2 courses but $9.99 for just 1 is a little high.
