True Aim Open - Grid OFF

have you guys tried this mode?!?

it is unbelievable - and tough!

played the one-day tourney at TPC Boston (live tourney) - shot 71 (E) - first time i had tried the no-grid... a lot of fun challenges - really makes you be careful with irons and approach shots!

I can't handle grid off putting at all. There's just something about a 2d display where I simply cannot read the putt like in real life. For me, putting with the grid on is still challenge enough.

i think they may have done rain/soft greens and slow greens to make it less brutal...

it was fun - i dont feel like the putting was as tough as some of my rounds when pin positions are expert and greens are lightning fast...

You need to use the different cameras to get a feel of the lie around the ball, then look at the cup and see if there is any tilt to the cup by viewing the slope of the green. It is doable, but it takes some luck (as in IRL Golf) and some pretty decent green reading skills....

Sounds intriguing. I'll give it a try on a day that I need a good cry.

and how, exactly, do you get the "different" camera angles? just keep spinning the d-pad? or is there some other way to get a different angle?
