But the 2011 title also offers a new gameplay experience. It’s the first time EA Sports has used laser-scanning technology, allowing developers an unprecedented level of access and detail. -

Re: List of DLC courses.
I think this is OK, but I see your point. For me it just gives me something to look forward to each season.
HANDSWARD (a dev on the game) posted the following on the EA forums, a little more clarity about how DLC is used in offline career mode:
Big letdown IMO, this is not what most people were hopping for IMO. I just can't believe they can't figure out a way for you to be able to customize your season more then this, seems like this was a last second toss in feature to shut some people up.Comment

Re: List of DLC courses.
just sitting here reading thru this thread and i cant say that after reading thru this thread i am as motivated to buy the game as i was b4 i came in this thread.
the last TWs i purchased was '07(i still have). last yr around this time i came on the boards to gauge the wind and ultimately decided to pass on TW11, but this yr the thing that had my interested perked up again was DLC, figured i could buy the game this yr and then maybe buy the DLCs over a extended period of time and then not have to buy the game again for a while. but if i am processing all the info here correctly, this is not what i had invisioned for the inclusion of DLC.
I find this particular thread very interesting as ppl ponder what could have possibly been going thru EAs mind when they set up DLC in this format for career mode as by the sounds of it it is not what the market wanted w/ DLC.
i know alot of ppl still enjoy the game to this day, and even tho i have not purchased a new TWs for a long time('07), i still vividly remember making the declaration back in the original xbox days that TWs was the greatest sports video game on the market...yet for some reason ever since '07 i have decided to pass on the game. just "seems" like those statements are so far away now....
hopefully the official review will be more promising than the info in this thread...keep up the good work everyoneLast edited by TajDeni; 03-27-2011, 09:12 PM.Through Holy Union God Lives Inside For Everyone

Re: List of DLC courses.
They are all up on XBL.
320 points each (4 bucks) or all of them for 2800 points ($35).
Not bad IMO.
EDIT - I take it back, 13 of them are $35, the other 5 that are up are another $15.
So $50 gets you every course but the 2 preorder courses (Bethpage Black and Turnberry)Last edited by ExtremeGamer; 03-29-2011, 09:09 AM.Comment

If the Birdie Pack is $15 on PSN as well, it's time to make a mad scramble for the CE (for PS3 players)...Comment

Re: List of DLC courses.
I'm pleasantly surprised that they are ALL up already, no waiting this year. Probably because of the inclusion of DLC courses in offline career. Well that's cool.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: List of DLC courses.
I'm still deciding whether to get the CE or not. I'd really rather not have fantasy courses, but it sounds like the way the career mode is structured, the fantasy courses are forced into the career mode anyway, so I might as well just get them and maybe skip or sim the events they're featured in. Then I could just get the eagle pack and be done with it.
Damn them to hell for holding out Bethpage on PS3 users. I really like that course. They better give us the option to buy it at some point soon (and likewise Turnberry for 360.) Why couldn't they have used the useless fantasy courses as pre-order bonuses instead of shafting us out of good courses?Comment

Re: List of DLC courses.
So, Turnberry is available at all for 360 users, what about Bethpage for those who didn't preorder?
Prices aren't too bad, much better then years past. Glad I just stocked up on $60 worth of MS points!Comment

Re: List of DLC courses.
The problem I have is that you can't use any of these for next years game. So you would have to spend another $50 or whatever to play these courses again next year. Unless they change the way they incorporate courses next year.Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/GMBBrian

Re: List of DLC courses.
It's just that I can deal with unlocking courses in tour mode, but for any completist who likes to play on all of them, EA is demanding they spend $114 (64 for the game including tax, and another $50 in equivalent MS points) for the privilege of it. Sorry, but that's a naked, blatant money grab at its most heinous.Comment
