Yeah, didn't figure as much, haha. Truth be told, I think I've talked myself out of picking it up even. Watched the UK game, and didn't realize what time it was. I may yet, have 47 minutes to decide.

Re: I have the new tiger........
JD, I can't say at the moment. I literally went through the intro segment, and then had to turn it off until the wife & little one went to bed. I got to customizing my golfer, and then it's off for a while. And with Warriors:Legends of Troy and Monday Night Raw on tonight, it'll be a tough sell to get me to turn it back on tonight, haha.
I'll try to throw it in as soon as the wife goes to bed to get some casual golf fan impressions. Because that's most definitely what I am.
Intro:
SpoilerIn the intro, you play the final hole in the Masters with Tiger... I literally don't think you can miss. It's basically, listen to your caddie and use the stick to swing, and watch it go. I couldn't figure out a way to "miss". Visuals are VERY nice though.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: I have the new tiger........
If you are casual, I'd say save money and pick up TW 11. And that's not just because I think 11 is a better game that the demo purports 12 to be. If you posted this same question last year, I would have said pick up 10, even though 11 was a really nice upgrade.
But I'm assuming as a casual fan you aren't trying to play online and compete. And as a casual guy, you probably aren't worried about which courses you get, or which golfers are in the game.
In fact, as a casual golfer, TW 10 is probably even better, since the main upgrade was TrueAim, which is probably not what you will use.
Regardless, just like any sports game, the there will be sales and price drops this summer. I'd wait.Comment

Ah, well if you've played the demo, it's not a spoiler, haha. I didn't even play the demo. Just wanted something different for my upcoming business trip, so figured I'd try my hand at Golf. I should be able to kill some time with this game then.
Could you miss in the demo? Or was it a "fixed" hole?Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: I have the new tiger........
I got my copy (XBox 360) that I ordered from Walmart.com a day early. It plays just like the demo, which isn't bad. Overall, I find it tougher to score in this game than Tiger '11, primarily because the random landing circle seems so much bigger now. I guess it is because my golfer's only about halfway on accuracy at this point.
I don't like the lower swing camera angles they're using in this year's game. You lose the travel of the ball easier, especially on long putts. Who drops to their elbows to watch a long putt roll in real life!? I really don't like the Presentation Camera angle now. It's so TV Broadcast oriented that it makes it look like you're watching someone else's match, not the one in which you're playing.
I seem to be getting more consistent results in terms of accuracy by maintaining a realistic tempo. There wasn't a premium on that in previous year's games. You can still get away with a punchy swing in this year's game, but I think the distances will vary more when you try to do it.
There are too many tools, zooms and aiming aids in Tournament mode for my tastes. I would prefer the Tiger '11 True-Aim method be used here. I still think the rumble assist shouldn't even be an option in Tournament mode. The caddy can be backed out enough to where I'm mostly unaware of him... it's no longer and issue with me.
You can't force rumble assist off in online multiplayerThe lobby structure seems to make more sense than what we had last year, but I've only seen one person in the lobby all day, and they were wanting to play Amateur.... I don't do Amateur
This game has more potential than Tiger '11, IMO. I've come to realize just how spoiled I got from exposure to the "First Person" mode in the PS3's Move version of the '12 demo. It is vastly more immersive and engaging than the more distant, lower angled swing camera presentation we get in the gamepad iterations of True-Aim, punctuated by that annoying drop to waist height at impact switch. If the Move has been fixed to anything resembling sanity, I'll probably be latching on to the PS3 version and spending my time there.
The game didn't knock me over like I expected, but I'll admit that it has slowly grown on me with play today. Should be more interesting tomorrow when Live Tournaments are in full tilt and there's folks actually in the lobby!Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Re: I have the new tiger........
The more I've played the more it has grown on me. I just made it to the tour. I lost tournament durring qualifying school and it shot me back to the nationwide tour. I won there again and now I'm on to the PGA with school not being an option again.Comment
