Re: OUTRAGE over DLC courses?
Actually they do. The missing remaining authenic bowl game stadiums are missing from NCAA football solely because of licensing issues. So they use generic stadiums instead. Soldier field is missing from madden. I believe NHL uses Boston Arena instead of TD Garden just to name a few.I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment

Re: OUTRAGE over DLC courses?
I dunno guys... I'm playing a golf game with *just* under 40 courses (most of which are stunningly gorgeous), that I spent about $110 for. I can't find a whole lot to complain about here.
Do I wish they had playoffs? You bet.
Do I wish they didn't put pins on real bad slopes occasionally? Yes, I do.
Do I wish the DLC wasn't tied to the season? Nah, don't really care.
But I have to say I *really* like this game and have already spent hours and will spend many, many, many, more hours playing it (and hopefully winning a Masters). That's not bad for a buck-ten. I'm not gonna get bogged down in the negative, it's just not that important to me.Comment

Re: OUTRAGE over DLC courses?
$110 is a bit steep for me. About $50 too steep. Although I'm not sure it's about the pricetag. It seems like many still find Tiger to be about the same as it has been since about 2007... and I think that's the main deterrent.Originally Posted by Briman123

Re: OUTRAGE over DLC courses?
Put it this way: GTA IV was the most expensive game ever created, and I believe the pricetag was ~100 million to create the content and develop the game. However, once that initial investment is made, each disc itself can be packaged and sold for less than a dollar. As a result, GTA IV had $500 million in sales the first week.
Explain to me how games are sold "below market value". They are not.Originally Posted by Briman123

Re: OUTRAGE over DLC courses?
What do you have to back this statement up? I believe this to be untrue... beside the fact that market value is merely what the majority of consumers are willing to pay for a product... which is not more than $60.

Re: OUTRAGE over DLC courses?
I agree. Just played a game and it's good and would consider buying it.. But not good enough to fork out 65 bucks + all the DLC. Sorry, I just don't view EA as gamer friendly. I can live without it.Steelers, Penguins, Penn State, Pirates, Red Sox, Manchester United.Comment

I read that too, but there is a dissenting opinion still out there and they back it up with some research.

I just wanted put that out there. The whole situation (DLC inclusion in career mode) has been somewhat sloppy. Theres been confusion about world rankings, being told to skip events unless you buy DLC, etc. I think it could have been done a lot more efficiently and with less confusion.Orbis Non SuficitComment

I've read various articles stating that top games such as call of duty would make much more money overall if they charged more (and fair market value is the price at which you can make the most money), but they can't do so because the console companies won't let them. I've also read that Activision would have been better off had they charged $5 - 10 more for their dlc. Games are not sold in a completely free market because the console makers put a limit on how much a game can be sold for. If sony and microsoft lifted that, I guarantee you games like Call of Duty and Madden would cost more, and Tiger Woods might increase in price as well.
DLC exists for two reasons. One, to get more market value for the popular games that cannot be sold for more than $60, and two, to combat the used game market.

For Tiger Woods 12, I see the same stuff that I've seen in past TW games. Golf is one of the few sports that I play IRL, so I might just skip this one.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks
