true aim camera is still hideous.....im starting to get annoyed with the game only because it CAN be soooo much better but its not, and it just feels like the one year cycle is ******** for a golf game. take a year off to actually WORK on the freagin game. geeez man if i could only be in studio and help these devs out.Comment

This isn't really a patch, but I've always thought it'd help add realism if your golfer had to wear a different outfit each day of a tournament. You could preset them kind of like classes in Call of Duty, each outfit you could use different apparel attributes to boost your ratings. But it'd be on a day to day level in the tourny which might make ppl strategize whether they want extra power or putting going into Round 4 with the horrible pin selection haha.

1. A way to gain XP while playing two or more players locally with random courses.
I don't get why I have to play career mode or an actual listed course to get 'better' with my player.

Not sure if it is a bug or a design decision but, today I actually missed the cut for the first time. Just had a horrible second round after being tied for 2nd after the first, i think it was because my wife was watching. Afterwards, I was looking at the tournament schedule and highlighted the tournament I just missed the cut on. Instead of saying I missed the cut and listing my score and final position on the leader board, I was listed as DNP. It didn't list a score for me either, like I really just skipped the event.
Problem is, in the world golf rankings, I should have dropped some because of a missed cut but, a DNP does not hurt you as much as an missed cut and I actuall moved up 10 spots. Now, I don't plan on ever missing another cut but, if I do, it should be recorded as such and not a DNP. Just annoys me a little.Comment

Actually same thing happened to me awhile back except I actually made the cut but somehow when I went to go play the 3rd round it listed me as a DNP so it was actually worse for me. I think the cut had been +6 and I was at +4. I knew something was up because as soon as it went to the scoreboard to show the 2nd round standings, it went straight to the main screen instead of going to the screen showing how how much XP I earned from the round.
A workaround might be not to press any buttons continously to skip the simulating of AI golfer's scores. I know I kept pressing on the button to get past that simulation and that's when it happened. I now press it once to get to the final standings and it hasn't happened since.Comment

I'm thinking about getting this game, it looks really good online. and it has the masters. but the caddy thing i keep hearing about sounds like it could get annoying, any idea of when the patch will come out?Comment

I don't think there's confirmation that a patch is ever coming out.
But don't let the caddy thing influence your decision. It's a great game, with nearly 40 courses (with DLC).
Occasional ridiculous pin placements is a much, MUCH, bigger issue than the caddy. Even that's not a gamebreaker, just annoying.
If you don't like the caddy, just mute him and ignore his advice each hole. It's really not a big deal at all. Way overblown.Comment

My biggest complaint? Please fix the photo game face feature. It looks horrible. Haven't bought this game in a few years but in TW 08 this feature worked great and now it's broken? Not only does my guy look terrible and nothing like me but I'm white yet my neck is black?!? I can't even change the skin tone. It's sad my neck doesn't match my arms or face.
I haven't played it enough to find other complaints. Overall I'm just not that excited about this game. It might be another 4 years before I buy another TW game. I used to be a big fan years ago but this game is getting stale. I know a patch can't fix that but I think more presentation should go into the game.Comment

not sure there will be a patch guys. there wasnt one last year, i dont think, and ive browsed around the web to try to find any info on a patch and there is nothing. so unless someone has some inside info, yea '12 sold alot more copies so maybe there will be a patch but im not waiting on it.Comment

Not sure if this is a patch wishlist or TW13 wishlist but here's some things I'd like to see:
-A difficulty between tour pro and tournament. Basically take tournament and put back the putting meter and give us better camera options. (or fix the camera in tourney).
-Have the lie of the shot show right away on the shot rather than having to select it. You could probably squeeze it somewhere on the main screen or when you are aiming. Having to go up and then down on every shot to check is kind of annoying.
-A better camera around your golfer. Going into the trees is a massive problem because you can't always see the tree you are about to hit.Go Sabres!Comment

I don't agree with your second point, I love the new lie camera, much more realistic. Honestly, you shouldn't have to go up down too many times, your lie doesn't change. I check my lie first, then aim, don't have to look at my lie more then once per shot.
I guess I don't agree with your first point either. I wouldn't mind a new difficulty level but under no circumstances should they add a putt meter to Tournament mode, that defeats the whole point of having no aids. I do wish they had more camera options for Tourney mode, the true aim post shot camera sucks.
I agree completely with your third point and your remark about this probably being a TW13 wish list. EAs silence on a patch is very telling IMO.Comment
