Playstation Move Controller & TW PGA Tour 12

Never used the PS Move controller but I've been seeing some pretty good deals on them lately.

Anyone use this controller with 12 and is it worth getting? How is the accuracy?

After seeing TW12 with my Move controller and the PS3, I traded them all back in for a new 360S and TW12 360. IMO, TW12 is worse with the Move than TW11 was. TW11 was playable, challenging and fun with the Move, but it was rough around the edges in some areas. If you don't want to be completely frustrated, I would avoid TW12 and the Move altogether....

Yep, That's about what I figured. Thanks for the reply!

I've been playing my career (RTM) this way...

During Practice and Sponsor Events I use the regular controller, and I use the Move for the tournaments.

I really like using the Move in the game. There is definitely a learning curve to use it. Couldn't hit over 80% for the life of me (before realizing it's not based on swing speed as much as backswing length).

I've played about 15 tournaments with the Move. Off the top of my head, I won 3 of them...got into the top 10 a few times...and was dead last twice. It seems to really pick up on minor swing issues (especially when driving). And I actually have a better time with approach shot swing percentages with the Move than I do with a regular controller.

The hardest part about the Move is getting to know what buttons do what. There is a good tutorial on the EA forums about holding certain buttons to change clubs, view lie, etc. But once you do a few tourneys, it'll be like second nature.

The price of these are so cheap nowadays I might just go ahead and pick one up and try it out. I saw a used one on Ebay for less than $20.

One of the main reasons I bought a PS3 this spring was to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 with the Move, using the first person camera that is only afforded by Move control. I thought the Move would have been brought up to a playable condition after almost two years of lab time. I was sorely disappointed in the end product.

The Move worked great in the demo in the putting department, but failed miserably in most other areas. Now they've got the other areas in tolerable to good condition, but the putting is like (as Divotmaker put it on EA's official Tiger forum, like "putting in mud"), which is a very apt description.

I had planned to buy a Chicken Stick (a golf like grip extension on which to mount the Move for a more realistic feel), but I'm not sure it would do much to salvage what this game offers in the Move department.

              I also think so.

Guess I'm in the minority... I think the Move and TW12 are an absolutely fantastic combination. Its highly addictive and after you get a hang of the controls, I feel its very immersive and realistic. I could never use a standard controlled in a golf game again.

It takes time but I'm now on the Tour (Tour Pro level) and I'm anywhere from 5 under to 4 over on any given round. Its absolutely a blast to play... I'm a golfer IRL as well and I feel the Move is very well done. It 'feels' like golf.

I play on presentation Cam, Tour Pro level and I immediately turn off the Caddie when I start a round.

Absolutely LOVE the game with the Move. Blah, with a standard controller.

It's good to read a report like this... it gives me hope that I might be back into it once the Chicken Stick arrives. I'm convinced that I can't give this game a fair shot with the Move, without a Chicken Stick attached to give me something with a mass closer to a real golf club, and a real golf club grip to wrap my hands around. I was actually having physical problems with my back, trying to produce a golf swing with virtually no mass in my hands.

After playing with the Move for the time that you've obviously put into it, do you honestly not experience the "putting in mud" condition that a lot of us are complaining about? I wish I knew what happened between the demo and the final game, regarding the putting, but I thought they had the putting nailed in the demo. I might not be as harsh on the final game in this area had I not experienced the intuitive bliss of the demo's putting.
