Man those Geforece 4 Ti's are not worth much anymore. I have the 4200 that showed to be going for $99 on pricewatch.

I hate to recommend Nvidia due to the lack of support for DX 9 but that is a good price for a solid card for the games out now.

You said in another post you had a high end computer. What are you running? I have never really played games on my computer, so have never needed a gaming video card, but TW for the PC may be the best choice this year. I am running a P4 2gHz with 384MB of RAM, but with a "stock" video card (GeForce4 MX 420). I like the price of the Ti 4200, but you also mentions some glitches with the rough. Can you expand on that a bit more please? Thanks.

Well it was high end at the time...

      P4 2.2 GF 4 TI 4200 128DDR 512MB Ram

I only play golf games on the computer so I am not too worried about the whole Nvidia DX 9 issue with games like Half Life. I think for $99 with your setup it would be a good addition (making sure you get the 128DDR for that price).

Regarding the rough it was not as much a glitch as it was draw speed while the ball was in air. You could see that it was having a hard time drawing the heavy rough. It had the draw in effect like there was a shadow moving over the rough as it was drawing it. Not that big of an issue for me and the only thing I noticed with all the settings cranked up as high as they can. I could probably lower it a notch or adjust one of the details from "very high" to "high" and all would be well.

I ran TW on my 900mhz, 256M, 8500 LE Radeon, and Tv output and it looked great. Every once in a while there was slowdown, depending on the camera view, but just a little and only when the ball was in ther air. I had no animated trees but fog and rain were on. It is very playable with this speed of cpu and this graphics card. The 8500 is around $85 I believe. Hope this helps.
