Re: PC version if I get a better graphics card

i was just looking at www.microcenter.com (it's a computer store that has one by me) and they have a Nvidia TNT2 for 55 bucks. You can find some better ones for around 100 bucks, but I don't know how much better it'd be. I haven't followed video cards much lately, so I've lost track of what the best out there is. You might want to put a post in the Everything Else forum, telling people your current video card and asking if a new card around 100 bucks would help out or not. I'm starting to get out of my knowledge

I mainly bought that card for the tv output. It's around $80. It is better than the tnt2 ultra that I have. Here are some pics from the tnt2 ultra with 1.7mhz. There are no animated trees and some other options on low.

I have some pics of the TNT2 one if you want. I will add more tomorrow of the radeon 8500.

Man those Geforece 4 Ti's are not worth much anymore. I have the 4200 that showed to be going for $99 on pricewatch.

I hate to recommend Nvidia due to the lack of support for DX 9 but that is a good price for a solid card for the games out now.

You said in another post you had a high end computer. What are you running? I have never really played games on my computer, so have never needed a gaming video card, but TW for the PC may be the best choice this year. I am running a P4 2gHz with 384MB of RAM, but with a "stock" video card (GeForce4 MX 420). I like the price of the Ti 4200, but you also mentions some glitches with the rough. Can you expand on that a bit more please? Thanks.
