TW04 = Game Worth Buying ?

     I'm not a big Golf fan, but I've always been interested in Golf video games.

    Im gonna read a review in a little bit, but I would like some input from my fellow OSers about the good and bad things about this game, and if it's even worth buying.

    EDIT: I have an Xbox

    I'm biased, but I will tell you that it's definitely worth it. In my opinion, it's the best console golf game. It's on the easy side after you get used to it, but you can change settings to make it harder. There are a ton of different modes and challenges to play, and it will keep you busy for hours upon hours, and that's just if you're trying to complete the game. There are some nice multiplayer games as well. The create-a-player is the best I've seen.

    The thing that's good about this game is that you don't have to be a huge golf fan to enjoy it. My wife and 5 year old daughter enjoy playing it. It's just a fun game.

          Ditto... The only thing they really have to work on next year is making it a little more challenging with the analog swing (or at least have settings of difficulty).

                I dont know guys, I still mess up with the analog stick sometime because I dont hold my controller normal and sometimes coming off my backswing I dont push the analog stick up straight. I slice my drives a couple times a round.

                      I guess with the amount of time with the game I have played, I have developed Tiger Thumb. When hitting straight I rarely miss a fairway. The rare time I do it is on one of the fictional courses where I overshoot something and it rolls forward into it. The irony is the only time I have ever hit a ball OB was the first hole I played on the game and I still cant figure out how it happened.

                      The best way I have found to play the game is with a draw or a fade. It is much harder to control a shot like this and puts me in the rough a few times each round, especially with wind.

                            3rdAnswer, I'd recommend this game. I'm not big into golf, but I'm having a lot of fun with this game. It's really addictive. I rented it over the weekend and am going out to buy it today.

                            It has a ton of different modes, so you'll never get bored just having to play regular rounds. It's cool to be able to create a golfer and then build them up, almost like a RPG. You can add licensed clothes, equipment, accessories, etc. I'm always trying to win another round or scenario so I can get more money and buy new stuff. I think by creating a golfer you become a lot more invested in the game, as opposed to just playing with the stock golfers. Plus it adds to the difficulty when you're starting out with low attributes. I've been losing some serious sleep with this game.

                            I think if you give it a chance you'll really like it. As I've said in other posts, I'll be getting Links also. But I think there's room in the collection for both games.
