Re: Links \'04 - I\'m prepared for the worst.

There is a small review in the newest issue of play magazine and they give it an A. They also said it was the best console golf game they have ever played.

Actually...believe it or not from my physique... I'm a light eater - Clay T. Shaver

Links got a 9.1 in xbox magazine. Thats even higher than what they gave Top Spin (9.0).

            Toy:

I have mixed opinions about this.

Yes, Links 2004 could have bad physics. But it could have realistic physics that many dopey console reviewers consider flawed because they're so accustomed to the Tiger Woods series in which you can change the spin of the ball in mid-air. Well, that's not realistic AT ALL, but hardly any reviewers call EA to task for that flaw.

            Take care,

PK, I don't know that I would call that a flaw. I would call it an option that people have. Whether they choose to use it is up to them. I agree that, ideally, the spin should have to be done at the point of impact, not while it's in the air. That might be a flaw, but I'm thinking it's because nobody would be able to hit both the power boost and spin buttons at the same time (since they use the black and white buttons), so one of them needs to be controllable at some other point in the shot. Personally, I have never used the spin button and never plan to.

By the way, my brother-in-law got the deer hunter game and loves it. Thanks for the info.

And EGM ripped it. They said it's nowhere near as good as Tiger Woods, which much to the chagrin of Anti-EA morons, is the best console golf game.
