    Re: EGM Review of Links

I have to say I'm disgusted with the review. First off their knocks on the game stem from it not being Tiger Woods.

Their legitamite claims like putting too easy and lack of features doesn't seem to measure up to their distain that they can't customize their golfer. What a load of bullocks. Another case of EA marketing doing the trick in setting the standards for overhyped features. The Cyber face feature of tiger doesn't make me play it more.

I think this is a poor review and one that seem that EGM sets their standards for review by comparing it to feature lists of EA Sports.

thats about what i would expect to hear from revieweres....being as TW is the "standard", Links will get called to task for all the missing bells and whistles.....your best bet is to listen to other gamers that you respect or just flat out get it yourself and see....i dont know what their agenda is, but all reviewers seem to have one and adhere to it religiously.....maybe i shouldnt read them without my "reviewers goggles" firmly in place

            Crap review.

Most these reviewers wouldn't know a good golf game if it bit 'em in the butt.

As stated, no bells and whistles = not as good as Tiger.

Well frankly, I turn off all the bells and whistles in TW.

I like to golf and I am just now flirting with breaking 80 in real life, I would like it to at least be hard to break 70 on a console golf game.

I'm looking forward to trying this out.
the only thing that I would prefer is to be able to turn OFF the slow-mos that follow the initial shot and such.

I have twitchy fingers and would prefer not to have to watch him hit the ball twice on the same swing.

And unlike Top spin I really hope that there is an IN tourney SAVE feature!

Let us know when you break 80. There are a few things in life that are as superficially monumental. I grew up with golf so I had a head start than most but for me the day I broke 70 it was a good good day. And you know what I haven't done it since.
