Since when in real life is there a putting grid to assist me with putts? Since when in real life does a little blue line pop out to show me the path of the putt? Since when in real life am I able to take control of a camera all the way down a fairway, over and around trees to find a perfect place to land my drive? Yeah, Links sounds like a perfect simulation of golf (har har). EA went arcadey with the spinning the shot, but at least it keeps the player involved after the shot. Don't like it, don't use it. But don't act like Links is a hardcore freakin' sim. I can't remember the last time I hit a perfect shot in real life and my clubhead turned bright red. And I don't remember the last shot I hit in real life that produced a contrail. Gotta love that Links realism.

And Casey, probably not wise to say you only have 1 EA game, and then in your sig mention another one that you're currently playing.

I picked up TW2003 for 15 dollars and I can't believe how fun the game is. Its not even as unrealistic as I thought it would be if you turn off all the aids.

Where did ANYONE say Links was the end all be all simulation?? Thought so..
We are mearly pointing out that the review sort of knocked Links for being "realistic" in an area of the game. Do you just sit around and wait for any opportunity that comes along to pimp EA???? You must....
