TW 11 or 12?

If you had to choose one, which one would you go with, and why? I had 12 for a bit but the Caddy feature drove me away, and I never played 11.

Which game relies more on DLC (I don't plan on buying DLC)? Do both games have the ridiculous final round pin placements? Which game is "more sim" (I know TW has never really been a true sim, but I think you get my question)? Better career mode?

11 is very inexpensive and only slightly graphically inferior. No Augusta though. If you are buying to see if you want 13 just buy 11.

Career mode for both is lacking (and very similar, play tourney, move on, play another tourney etc...) but if you can live without Augusta then definately TW11 just for thier version for true aim which is much more simlike than the aiming marker for TW12. And TW11 has golfer season stats which TW12 omitted for some reason. You can't use DLC for career mode in TW11 so it won't make you skip tourneys that use a DLC course.

Carnival pins are there for both but you can limit the damage from this if you set it to 3 rounds per tourney, they'll still be there for some courses but the 4th round pins are the biggest offenders

If you are buying to see if you want 13 just buy 11.

Can't say I agree with that at all. My advice is to DL the demo for TW13 on March 6th, then see if you want to play 11 instead as you can rent it to see which you prefer....

Rarely have I gotten enough of a positive impression off of a demo to buy the game unless I was predisposed to buying the game in the first place. I have seen enough demos that turn me off to a game immediately though. IF I had to choose between 11 and 12 I would pick 11.

I agree with you up until the Tiger Woods 11 demo dropped... it allowed gamers to play the game in all four difficulty levels, using all of the available camera options. The gameplay was identical to what we got in the final version. They continued that practice with Tiger 12, so now, I expect we'll get a representative demo with Tiger 13. Prior to Tiger 11, all of the Tiger demos were locked in Beginner difficulty.... blech!

If you are truly looking for the best Golf game to play, I recommend waiting for reviews and user feedback of TW13.....I have played it for a short time this week and I think you would do yourself a favor and wait....

Between the two? I have gone back to 11. The true aim just gives it a better feel and experience for me. Loved the graphical improvements on 12, along with Augusta, but gameplay wise I had to go back to 11.
